And as if that alone wouldn't be fascinating enough: Washington believes Russia and China could get behind him too.
U.S. officials are apparently exploring a joint candidacy for the former Hungarian prime minister, with Trump and JD Vance expected to support him.
Orbán is said to be interested, but wants assurances he can actually win before entering the race.
An extraordinary possibility: a MAGA-aligned conservative leading the United Nations with backing from Washington, Moscow and Beijing.
The UN establishment would have quite a morning.

President Trump just obliterated Bill Maher in a very lengthy post. "You pushed for White House access, enjoyed the dinners, then ran back to your low-rated show and lied. You’re a gutless loser — don’t call again."
His point: Stop the two-faced act, own the low ratings and the dishonesty, and quit begging for access.
Other things President Trump is calling him out for:
• Two-faced after the dinners: Chuck LaBella (Maher’s friend/business associate who worked as a “gofer” on The Apprentice and benefited from its success) called Trump nonstop for years saying how much Maher “loves” and respects him and begging for meetings or for Trump to do the show. Trump met him twice at the White House but never agreed to appear on the show (which Maher wants desperately). After both dinners Maher went on air and attacked him.
• First dinner details: Maher was nervous and insecure, asked for a drink, and had a badly bruised eye and nose area (Trump notes it wasn’t from him). Afterward he wanted to come back immediately. LaBella kept calling. Trump says the White House is more beautiful now that he renovated and fixed it.
• Second dinner (with Kid Rock & Stephen A. Smith): Maher looked like hell, was drunk, and walked through the White House with alcohol in hand. Trump says it lasted about two hours (not four), everyone was happy, timestamps exist, but he learned nothing and felt it was a waste of time. He also wanted to tell Maher he’s a major pothead and needs to stop for his health.
• Reverted immediately: After the first dinner Maher did a relatively friendly first show, then went right back to his old ways. After the second dinner the show was “far worse” and he “went crazy.” Trump calls him gutless because he enjoyed every minute privately then performed for his audience.
• Dishonesty on ratings & GOP support: Maher claimed Trump has his lowest ratings and is losing the Republican Party. Trump cites CNN polls showing 98–99% GOP support (an all-time record high; Reagan was at 86%), Harry Enten calling him “the most influential president of the last century,” and another CNN poll ranking him the most popular person in Republican Party history (53% vs. Reagan 18%, Lincoln 8%). He says these are CNN polls from people not exactly friendly to him, so Maher is lying.
• Iran & other policy lies: Maher doesn’t think stopping Iran from getting a nuclear weapon was a good thing — Trump says that shows he’s not very smart. Maher also attacked successful Republican candidates even though Trump’s endorsement record is 98% in the House and 100% in the Senate. He spread falsehoods about illegal voters in California (20,000 found in just the last few days; the number could easily exceed 1,000,000).
• Karoline Leavitt: She was “GREAT” defending Trump and herself against a biased, dumb “SLEAZEBAG” interviewer, but it’s hard to keep up with lie after lie.
• Low ratings, canned laughter & fake base: The show is low-rated on equally low-rated HBO (which used to be a quality network but isn’t “HOT” anymore). Trump mocks the “Laughter Machine” (canned laughter) because people can’t actually think he’s funny. Maher caters to a small group of “fans” who are mostly losers and people
who don’t like working.
• Other specific pushback: Trump is not building a swimming pool in the White House Briefing Room and never intended to — he’s considering moving the press to free up badly needed space. He never took the criticism personally before, but after the second dinner he’s done. He never watched the show much and will never watch it again because it’s fake news.
• Final message: Don’t call anymore. Tell Chuck LaBella to stop. You’re a hopeless guy, a coward afraid to admit how well the country is running under Trump and how badly the Democrats almost destroyed the USA. If Trump hadn’t won, the country would be dead. Turn the laugh machine off. Republicans won’t cover you anymore because you’re not transformative — you’re a loser.

From the White House Faith Office to efforts addressing the persecution of Christians in Nigeria, from policies restricting federal support for Planned Parenthood to actions aimed at removing gender ideology from schools, there is a record worth examining.

Let me summarize the book UNELECTED in a nutshell.
The Industrial Revolution created a class of private citizens with unimaginable wealth. Many were reviled as robber barons (e.g., Rockefeller of Standard Oil). Others had a better image, like Andrew Carnegie.
These new rich decided because they had money, they had a responsibility to do good by the world. So they started building global philanthropic networks that could go into every country. In order to do so, they hired Department of State and Department of War and other state officials.
They quickly took over the country's education system starting in the 1920s to train them in the "international mind."
When the intelligence community truly sprang up in World War II, the IC hired from ... these same shadowy philanthropic networks. And after WWII, they all coalesced on the same goal: the best chance at achieving a human utopia is to bring the entire world to "democracy."
Except it turns out converting countries to democracy isn't so simple as just financing CIA coups. Did all those NGOs question their own assumption might be flawed - that not every peoples, not every culture and religion is compatible with "democracy"?
No. Instead, the Trilateral Commission in the 1970s concluded that a more technocratic route was necessary. And over many iterations - the Balkans and African adventures of the 90s, the Iraq & Afghanistan ventures, Arab Spring and color revolutions ... every failed iteration of "democracy" always resulted in the same conclusion: the people are dumb, we have to try harder, put more pressure on them, tighten the screws.
And now you have become fully self-referential. Anyone who disagrees with you is "authoritarian." Anyone who agrees with you is "our democracy." Voting methods doesn't matter. That the judiciary system blatantly stole the election doesn't matter.
And nowhere this is more obvious in your 30th anniversary publication.
In your 30th anniversary publication, you had an article from your longtime head of Open Society Fund-Serbia, Sonja Licht. She also happens to be one of the most decorated civilians in Europe and widely considered an expert in "democracy:"

Her solution: "I believe the time has come for a responsible, courageous elite, those who care far more about addressing the genuine social problems than about election results. The idea of democracy as pushed by the head of one of your foundations is to literally stop "election results" and to have the public cede their trust to a technocratic elite.

Back in October 2022, Elon didn't just call for peace. He actually proposed a peace plan involving UN-supervised votes in occupied regions, recognizing Crimea as Russian, guaranteeing its water supply, and Ukraine remaining neutral
He warned that continuing this war would bring devastating death and destruction, with countless young Ukrainians and Russians losing their lives
And look at what's happened since then
More than 2 MILLION military casualties, entire cities destroyed, millions of people forced from their homes, and the war is still going on with no lasting peace
Elon faced enormous backlash for proposing a path toward peace, but the human cost he warned about has become an absolutely horrifying reality
And that's what makes this so tragic. These are human beings with parents, families, loved ones, and entire lives ahead of them, not disposable pieces on some geopolitical chessboard
How many more young people have to die in trenches before ending this endless slaughter becomes just as important as deciding who wins the war?

Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman, Pakistan’s army chief Field Marshal Asim Munir and Turkey’s intelligence chief are set to meet Iranian officials today to talk regional coordination.
It’s the first high-level meeting between Iran and all 3 countries since Iran-aligned Houthis started hammering Saudi Arabia, with another wave of missiles and drones intercepted on Sunday.
The 3 signed the Mecca Pact in August, which treats an attack on one as an attack on all, and earlier this month agreed to rush military forces into Saudi Arabia.
So the bloc built to defend Riyadh is now sitting down with the country backing the people attacking it.

The major question in Brazil…
At exactly 5pm, a code is supposed to be entered that closes and locks the voting machines. Once a machine is locked, it can’t accept any more votes. It’s irreversible.
The Supreme Court extension was relayed a few minutes after polls were supposed to be closed and machines locked.
So… which machines were kept open? In what districts were those machines? And why weren’t they locked at 5pm?
