A response to the prevalent & idiotic "America bad" narrative of modern history, presented one day after the 25th anniversary of 9/11:
-Saddam starts war of aggression against Iran, causes over a million deaths;
-Saddam commits acts of genocide against Kurds in north and Shiites in south, killing hundreds of thousands;
-Saddam starts war of aggression against Kuwait, annexes territory into Iraq;
-Gulf states implore the US to intervene, which they along with allies do, liberating Kuwait;
-US & UK impose sanctions regime on Baathist Iraq to constrain its established intent to initiate wars of aggression & institute no-fly zones over northern & southern Iraq to stop anti-Kurdish and anti-Shiite mass murder campaigns; much of the global left decry these actions as inhumane and imperialistic;
-Bin Laden orchestrates the worst terror attack in world history, murdering thousands of innocent men, women and children in cold blood. His justifications are based on his frustration with the US's righteous actions against Baathist Iraq, his disgust with gender and sexual equality in the West, and conspiratorial antisemitism. Many leftists then attribute his actions to "blowback" for purported US misdeeds in the Middle East;
-US engages in justified war against Taliban regime in response to their hosting of al Qaeda and refusal to hand over the perpetrators of 9/11. In the process, the US effectively liberates Afghanistan's women and minorities, and invests heavily in Aghanistan developing a more human system of self-governance;
-In Afghanistan, the vast majority of civilian casualities are attributable to jihadist violence (suicide bombings, roadside bombings, and other militant attacks intentionally directed at civilian populations, coalition forces, and state entities);
-US invades Iraq on questionable pretext, helps establish imperfect democracy. In doing so, the US overthrows a genocidal authoritarian regime, and effectively liberate the long-suffering Shiite and Kurdish populations, who taken together constitute a substantial majority of the population;
-In Iraq, the vast majority of civilian casualties are attributable to Sunni jihadists and Shia death squads. On the Shiite side, much of this violence is supported, funded and directed by the IRGC. In total, more civilian deaths in Iraq are likely attributable to Iran than the US.
-Every year, leftists, third-worldists and Islamists (closeted or otherwise) implore us on the anniversary of an unjustified mass killing of American civilians to remember "millions of victims of US wars" when the US wasn't responsible for the vast majority of the deaths, was fully justified in invading Afghanistan, and overturned an implaccably genocidal and expansionist regime in Iraq (the latter of which the left, having opposed the sanctions and no-fly zones that contained againdt it, would have allowed to regain strength and continue its crimes against Shiites and Kurds).
Don't let the Mamdanis, the Medea Benjamins & the Hasan Pikers of the world twist history. The problems of the Muslim world are endemic to the Muslim world, and regularly spill out to cause global harm. The US isn't responsible for this, and has in fact operated to mitigate the harms caused by extremism both globally and within the Muslim world.

How do people think a country stretched from eastern europe to the pacific ocean and got everyone in it to only speak one language? It wasn't because of their food or friendly demeanor

If I was in Michigan I'd be voting for him. I hope he wins. But I think it's clear he's a below-average candidate this cycle, and he's only pushed as a 'talent' to push a particular factional narrative within the Dem coalition.

A hateful man stormed into a Jewish wedding in Liverpool and began hurling antisemitic insults at the guests, terrifying people at the gathering
His lawyer, in defending him, said a mitigating factor was that his client is Irish and has suffered discrimination
What in the world is this line of reasoning?

I see Jews saying this constantly and then basically every media outlet covers this as us being single issue pro-Israel voters. Israel can handle its problems. We are a minority facing record high antisemitic violence.

Really cannot be overstated how psychotic Oct 7 made these people.
Flying home to be with your family after something so devastating is an action that every normal person considers completely understandable.

Mehdi and Co will drag you for a foreign policy take you had 25+ years ago but call you a Islamophobic republican shill if you try to ask them about something they said 6 months ago.
You don’t hate these people enough.

There is a very, very, VERY large number of people claiming to be Jewish to shield themselves/others from antisemitism accusations who admit to actually practicing other religions or having no Jewish heritage.
What the hell?

When I warned in a recent column that antisemitism would lead Americans to blame Israel for grocery prices, just like I saw growing up in Egypt, I thought it would take years. Not weeks.

Somaliland was able to become an actual functioning state in Africa with almost no resources or international recognition after a genocide on their people. This is very rare and they deserve recognition and partnership from America.

Basically most of what Drop Site does, apart from employing antisemites, Assadists and Axis fanatics, is aggregate pro-Iran propaganda by other antisemites, Assadists and Axis fanatics, going as far as promoting Assad advisor and probable war criminal Nir Rosen.
“I was wrong,” the preeminent Palestinian-American historian Rashid Khalidi told the Bad Hasbara podcast.
“I probably misjudged things early on,” he said, revisiting his 2024 assessment that the strategic potential of Iran and the “Axis of Resistance,” and their ability to confront Israel, had been overstated.

This ad would hit harder if El Sayed didn't want to give infinity welfarebux to Hamas lol
New @RebellionPac ad dropping in Michigan. We have to suffer here at home, so Israel can get all its wars. That’s why they buy politicians like Mike Rogers. He promised to serve Israel “unconditionally,” but never made that promise to you.

I’m halfway convinced part of what sparked the Syrian war was when they first got Twitter all those many years ago, and thus became exposed to each others violently sectarian opinions at scale.
Kind of like how exposure to antisemitism made me 8x more of a Jewish nationalist

I think it's weird how few people are troubled by the gist of Sayed's Islamophobia defense. If you say that asking about support for the Muslim Brotherhood is an Islamophobic attack on your religion, then at some level you're suggesting -- or at least encouraging the inference -- that the MB's form of Islam defines or informs your interpretation of Islam. There are lots of Muslims that don't subscribe to the MB version and when you ask them about the Muslim Brotherhood, they don't respond by saying "how dare you attack my religion?"

Abdul being smug & dismissive about a dude trying to blow up a bunch of Jewish kids because his Hezbollah brother got killed in action on the other side of the planet is fair grounds to dislike him
And it’s beyond obnoxious to paint being bothered by that as “[a]ll for Israel”

As a Canadian Kurd I am very disappointed with this statement made by our Canadian PM @MarkJCarney @AnitaAnandMP
Kurds are asking for Peace treaty to be signed which Turkey has been refusing to recognize Kurds as non-Turkish people. Turkey refused to sign the first peace negotiations from 2008-13.
Turkey committed Genocidal policies to exterminate Kurdish people with waging the war against them that lasted more than a century since Turkey declared independence.
Canadian Kurdish communities are not against friendly relations but Turkish state must be put on the right course by the Western countries whom are acting sensitive on human rights violations, genocide, femicide, ecocide etc issues.
Turkey must respect the rights of Kurdish nation, including the ones outside Turkish borders in Iran, Iraq and Syria
Carney promised principles and pragmatism. In his new strategic partnership with Turkey, I see plenty of the latter but not much of the former. My interview earlier today: cbc.ca/player/play/video/9.7…

I was looking at some NDP accounts to see if any MPs had anything to say about Erdogan's human rights record and naturally didn't see a thing. But here's Don Davies reposting Holocaust denier and Oct 7 enthusiast Sarah Wilkinson. He also likes to repost Hamas fanboys Drop Site and Yipeng Ge. Very normal stuff. Maybe the CBC will follow up.
Prime Minister Mark Carney called Türkiye an “exceptional partner” during joint statements with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan Thursday, the latest move in a warming of relations between the two NATO allies.

Mario has no moral principles whatsoever. All he cares about is clicks and money. We live in a sorry world where loudmouthed, clueless grifters have replaced seasoned journalists. The bigger and uglier the conspiracy theory, the more money you make.
Families who lost loved ones in the January massacre are so consumed by grief and despair that some are taking their own lives, while this lunatic is out here spreading this kind of deranged nonsense.
🇺🇸 🇮🇷 Up to 40% of the Iranians killed in the crackdown may have died at the hands of foreign agents, using the same playbook the CIA ran in Iran in 1953.
Death toll estimates have swung from 75,000 to 42,000, and Larry Wilkerson puts the real number closer to 10,000 to 12,000, pointing to Mossadegh’s overthrow and Chile under Allende as proof of how these operations work:
“At least 40% of the people who were killed were killed by our agents in Iran trying to do the same thing.”
If any of that holds up, the case for regime change gets a lot harder to sell.
