Some uncut machine swings and clips from a recent workout! Off the machine I was focused on staying through the ball and at my lift I hit a PR for back squat of 195x3 for two sets. Looking forward to high school season starting, only 3 more weeks till tryouts!! @FPXHigdonCarr @FuryPlatinum @Jeremy_P_Higdon @JillCHigdon @LSAsoftballRI @SoftballDown @CoastRecruits @LegacyLegendsS1 @Softball_Home @SBRRetweets

Some clips from my workout last night. We have had a big focus on getting more explosive and using the ground this offseason and I am already starting to see it show up in my swing! Never miss a Monday!! @FPXHigdonCarr @FuryPlatinum @Jeremy_P_Higdon @JillCHigdon @LSAsoftballRI @Softball_Home @CoastRecruits @SoftballDown @LegacyLegendsS1 @SBRRetweets

The Tee, a great way to work on a swing if used correctly.

Always a great time at @FordhamSoftball Camp!! Thank you @CoachInouye, @coachKSwinehart, Coach Jake, and all of the players for making it possible! I definitely left with some quality feedback and drills I will be implementing! @FPXHigdonCarr @FuryPlatinum @Jeremy_P_Higdon @JillCHigdon @LSAsoftballRI @CoastRecruits @LegacyLegendsS1 @SBRRetweets @DfwSho @SoftballDown

Another good day of work today! Started after school with a high focus hitting session working on staying through the ball and ending with 100 swings on the heavy bag. Also did some plyo ball work while I was there to increase my arm strength. Then headed to my lift where I hit a PR of 185 for 3 reps. Stacking the days!! @FPXHigdonCarr @FuryPlatinum @Jeremy_P_Higdon @JillCHigdon @LSAsoftballRI @SBRRetweets @CoastRecruits @LegacyLegendsS1 @SoftballDown

A quick look into what the tee portion of a typical hitting session looks like for me. I start with my heavy wooden bat and a high tee progression focusing on having my barrel above the ball to get backspin. I then go to my normal bat and work oppo, middle, and pull looking for free and easy swings and consistent barrels. Front toss is where I increase my bat speed but unfortunately I did not get any clips today so I added one from practice on Sat!! @FPXHigdonCarr @FuryPlatinum @Jeremy_P_Higdon @JillCHigdon @LSAsoftballRI @CoastRecruits @SoftballDown @LegacyLegendsS1 @SBRRetweets

I am with Barry. Bottom hand is power because it sets the angle of the swing on the way to extension. Without it a batter spins off. Top hand is guide because it is closest to barrel and gets barrel to ball.

OLD SCHOOL VS. NEW SCHOOL… who cares? It’s whatever works for you against the person on the mound or in the circle. You have to have adjustability in order to hit and have success off Elite pitching. #baseball #softball

Donnie Baseball all about hitting !!!!
