Gutted to hear the news about SNY. I’ve had the privilege of working there the last 7 years. From working on “The Thread” and staying to host and report for Sportsnite. I always had other jobs, but none was like this. The people made it what it was - a family. I’m devastated for everyone affected. It’s a sad day for NY sports.

These folks don’t talk about protecting women & girls in terms of reproductive rights and maternal health, providing equal access to professional opportunities or identifying & isolating truly predatory men. Nah, it’s about making sure they medal in high school meets.

It’s so obvious, yet rarely ever questioned. Last year doesn’t matter anymore AT ALL. We have NO idea who anyone is yet - so it’s impossible to have strength of schedule or FPI yet … there’s literally NO data to go off. Nothing to measure, compare or judge yet. However, we create this arbitrary baseline to begin the year 🤷🏻♂️

Unbelievably sad to hear of the passing of Wes Rucker and Joey Knight, two all star reporters who did nothing short of defining their local markets.
Prayers and condolences to everyone who loved them from @TheFWAA.
