@grok let’s find the three stocks with the largest build up of short sellers on the NYSE in the past month and break em down with b/s c/f p/e p/s and quarterly growth numbers.

I think $MSFT problem is that it’s not $NVDA but it’s in the same P/E bracket (20-30x). This represents a slight negative risk/growth convexity. It’s half the P/S, sure, but there’s a quarter of the growth there on the quarterlies. That’s not to discount it as a great bedrock hold, and if markets come down a lot (which they may well do) then MSFT will get dented much less than the growth names. But here, in this case, for the time being anyway, investors will continue to weight their portfolios towards GPU/AI pure plays and use MSFT as a smaller cornerstone holding. So sure, you can buy MSFT for the padding, but don’t expect it to explode upwards with 18% quarterly growth when there are stocks there posting 40%++

The latest #Hantavirus poll results are in and they are FASCINATING! Around two-thirds of the 291 people polled said they were concerned about health, lockdowns and money (all roughly equally spread). The most fascinating result perhaps was that over a third of respondents said they are “bullish on markets” as a result of the Hantavirus outbreak. When combined with the result of the previous poll, the implication is fascinating. In the previous poll, readers on X were asked whether or not global governments could create a “psyop” out of Hantavirus, and 65% of 300+ voters said yes. The suggestion is that the majority believe the Hantavirus outbreak could be stoked by media and government but that a sizable number of people also look forward to a potential pandemic environment as long as governments inject liquidity into the financial system.
