The whole reaction to this feels a lot like when Mario fans freaked out when Nintendo said he "used to be a plumber" in his bio. We can dislike the direction her character took, but updating a bio to reflect the modern characterization is not a retcon. It's just change.

In Mario's case, it was so simple of a concept that they just ended up reverting it. He still does plumbing, it's just not his full-time profession. I'm not sure why everyone was interpreting it as a retcon. They never said he "wasn't a plumber," just that he wasn't one anymore.

It's nice. I think the flat vectors they had before work better in more circumstances, but I do think the rendered 3D is appealing. I just need a stacked version to be on board. I get why they did horizontal for the website banner, but stacked is way better for most else
