I've no intention of going anywhere, but BS has pulled out in front as the clear Twitter alternative, so if you want to follow me there, you here. Pinning this.

Fuck you, man.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman says it’s “quite terrible” that people have so much DRAM sitting in their own PCs instead of being used in data centers. “Everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer. And be used 5% of the time,” He argues that cloud data centers should make better use of limited memory supplies instead of people running AI models locally.

Cook keeps seven Senate races and 18 House races as tossups in their final ratings. Makes you wonder what the point of ratings is then.

I've been feeling like Kansas is the more likely flip for over a week now.
Which state are Democrats more likely to win in the Senate?

This is where I think things stand in the Senate right now. Regardless of what you think of Blexas and Blansas, I think terrible candidates combined with the environment flip those seats. Kansas is the one reach seat I have some confidence in. Lot of comparisons to 2006 and 2018, but the election I keep thinking of is 2012, where a combination of bad GOP candidates and quality Democratic candidates helped us win in some really red territory, while weaker candidates in bluer states got carried by the national environment.

It's funny seeing the responses to this. I'd be a *lot* more inclined towards a major polling miss if our poll found Democrats cleaning up on crime and immigration, with a D+11 lead on a D+9 party ID. That they're leading despite such a small PID gap tells you something.
Some thoughts on our final poll, which has D+11 with likely voters. Under the hood, it doesn't look that blue. Party ID is D+4 with leaners, and R+1 without. Rs still hold advantages on crime/immigration. Dems winning by 11 *despite this* is the kicker. theargumentmag.com/p/how-rep…

That doesn't make any sense. If Kansas is going to be one of the closer seats you might lose, you fight harder to keep it. Every seat they lose this year makes retaking the majority in 2028, 2030, and 2032 more difficult for them. You only cut your losses when you're already losing.
I don’t think this is true. More likely Trump skipped because Kansas won’t be seat 51 for Dems no matter what. If Hamilton is winning Dems probably already have win 52 (maybe 53) so there’s no point saving Marshall.

They *really* shouldn't have needed to twist his arm this much to do this. Disavowing that fucking ad was an obvious thing he needed to do, they shouldn't have had to make a Stevens and Clyburn joint appearance conditional on him doing that. Thank god he's finally doing it.
CNN: How top Democrats negotiated a joint El-Sayed and Stevens appearance that's still tenuous According to a source familiar with the matter, there were talks through Thursday night and into the early Friday morning hours about getting Stevens onto the campaign trail with El-Sayed, who faces Republican former Rep. Mike Rogers in a contest critical to the battle for majority control of the Senate. But Stevens was only willing to do so if he clearly disavows an ad by an outside group that alleges that high prices in Michigan are the result of foreign aid given to Israel. Stevens and some Jewish Democrats have denounced the ad as antisemitic. The Michigan Democratic Party chair Curtis Hertel and Stevens’ fiancé Jason Turkish were involved in the negotiations between the two. Link to article: cnn.com/2026/10/30/politics/…

On the eve of the eve of the eve of our BIG and important election, a unifying moment has arrived, our democratic nominee for U.S Senate disavows the Rebellion PAC ad made by Hasan Piker’s uncle that claims Jews are responsible for America’s economic woes. We have learned from party leaders and emissaries, as reported in the news media that he has. On Sunday I will join with the Great Democratic leader, Jim Clyburn and Dr El Sayed for a church service in the beautiful city of Detroit. The political coalition of Black and Jewish voices that have carried Michigan and this country through so many storms to the righteous path of liberal democracy and equal opportunity for all will ring out. As painful as the Stolassago ship ending will be, they are an important lesson: some people arrive at your life when you need them the most… but they are not meant to stay forever.
Stolitz is endgame but damn Stolassago is so adorable I really hope Vassago isn't gonna get his heart shattered in the 2nd part of the season 😭😭

Now El Sayed has to win by 7. The corporate Establishment must move the goal posts.

Obviously not impossible but an increasing dynamic I'm seeing in a deep red county/district: Conservative Republicans might not be willing to vote for Democrats, but they're angry enough to swear they're not voting for Republicans either
This matches what @ChazNuttycombe said about Iowa: Rural Republicans don’t want to talk to pollsters. Iowa and Kansas are probably the two states where we will see a huge polling miss in favor of Republicans

Dunno why you're asking this about a show you "literally hate," but the answer is: The demons are more or less just people, and Hell itself is a functional society with laws and morality. It is an inherently more violent place with serious societal inequality, but you've still got healthcare, a justice system, entertainment, etc. Even the human sinners aren't necessarily bad people.
arent. they supposed to be in hell. why is he crying like a baby about killing??

The answer is: Turnout. Old people are more likely to turn out. And younger voters turn out at even disproportionately lower rates in midterms vs. presidentials.
Incredible. Endless stories about young people feeling disillusioned, dooming about not being able to even buy a house etc, and yet there is no politician of any party (afaik) that will actually do anything to reduce the boomers’ slice of the pie.
