There is nothing more erotic, than a strong, independent woman, giving you her submissive side.

One day someone is going to look at you like you’re the best thing in the world. Just kidding, no they’re not.

He had watched her die six times. In the seventh life, he discovered that she remembered every death. The first time, she was a queen who loved him despite knowing he was cursed. She died in his arms beneath a burning palace, her fingers resting against his cheek as she whispered, "Find me when the world begins again." He did. In the second life, she was a village healer, and he was a knight who could not grow old. In the third, she was a painter who unknowingly filled every canvas with his face. In the fourth, she was a witch who tried to break his immortality and nearly succeeded. Six lifetimes. Six different faces. The same impossible recognition. Now, in the seventh, she lived beside a forgotten lake in the northern mountains. She was a historian, fascinated by ancient civilizations, and had spent years researching a mysterious man who appeared in paintings separated by centuries. His name was always different. His eyes never changed. When he finally found her, snow was falling through the branches of the surrounding forest. She stood outside her cottage, holding an old manuscript. "You took your time," she said. He stopped. There was no fear in her expression. Only a sadness so familiar that it almost brought him to his knees. "You remember?" "Not everything." She approached him. "But I remember dying. I remember your hands shaking. I remember asking you not to follow me into the darkness." He reached for her, then hesitated. "I promised I would never let you go again." She placed her palm against his chest. "And I promised myself I would never spend another lifetime being loved by a man who refused to live without me." His expression changed. For centuries, he had mistaken devotion for the willingness to endure endless suffering. She touched his face gently. "I don't want another eternity of losing each other. I want this life. I want ordinary mornings, arguments, laughter, and the freedom to grow old beside you." For the first time in seven lifetimes, the immortal understood what she was asking. Not forever. A life. He kissed her beneath the falling snow, and somewhere deep within his ancient body, the curse that had kept him alive for centuries began to break. Perhaps immortality had never been his punishment. Perhaps it had only been the time he needed to learn how to love her without asking eternity to prove it.

Brian Piccolo (1943-1970) was a HB for #dabears 1965-69. His friendship with Gale Sayers broke social boundaries during the Civil Rights era as seen in the 1971 movie Brian's Song. His life was tragically cut short when he died of embryonal cell carcinoma at the age of 26.

Nick Saban won 7 national titles. He wanted his players "selfish, self-absorbed, and ambitious." He just told the Kelce brothers why. In 1987 he ran the No. 1 defense in the country. He applied for the Kent State job, "maybe the worst job in America." He didn't get it. "I said, I'll never be a head coach." He almost never does podcasts. His daughter talked him into this one. Here's what he told them: 1. "I wanted them to be selfish, self-absorbed, and ambitious. Those things may sound horrible." 2. "I didn't want them to be self-indulgent where they put themselves in front of everybody else." 3. "How's this kind of behavior going to help you accomplish the goal that you have?" 4. "You heard the phrase, there's no I in team... But there is an I in win." In the video below, listen for what he told players who threatened to transfer. Try this: write down your goal. Then take one habit and ask: "How is this helping me get there?" Here's the lesson. Be selfish about your growth. Never about the people next to you. Was your best coach or boss soft or hard on you? I post one lesson like this every day. Follow so you don't miss tomorrow's.
