The 177,000-signature threshold has now been passed. This has now officially cleared the requirement for an Alberta independence referendum on October 19th. As I said, given the model’s forecast from May through September, rising global tensions will increase the potential for Alberta to vote for separation during the October elections.

I am not interested in joining a new political party in Alberta that does not have Alberta's Independence as their ultimate goal I'm not asking anyone to agree with me, or follow my path. I'm just saying that I believe freedom will only come if we are independent from the failed experiment that is Canada. I believe the federal government to be completely compromised to the point where the woke globalist/Marxist liberals will be able to use their corruption to remain in power indefinitely. I don't see that being fixed without a revolution, and I don't see a Canadian revolution ever becoming a reality So, Albertans, you do what you feel in your heart is right, and I will do what allows me to live with myself. As a founding member of the UCP. A 12 person interim board I’m actually sad. Hey Jeffery Rath has made my head hurt at times. But he’s one vote. This is not how you bring a spilt group of conservatives together. It’s not a sin to want more for Alberta. Having a different idea of how to achieve that does not make you an enemy. It’s actually so simple Vote! But hey I cancelled my membership and it will stay that way till leadership changes. AND I don’t just mean Danielle. Exactly this. The UCP's undeclared war on Alberta separtists has left me, a conservative voter for the last 5 decades, politically homeless. As well as apathetic enough not to even bother to vote in the next election, federal or provincial. Nenshi must be smiling.

As a UCP party member I will vote for removal of Smith. However, I dont think she is the only globalist puppet in the party by far. My letter to Rob Smith of the @Alberta_UCP Dear Mr. Rob Smith, In response to your letter to the UCP membership, I wish to humbly offer the following statement: You cannot hijack a citizen initiative referendum, use its questionable data to consolidate power, tell your members to get in line or find another party, advance the Covid vaccine and expect unity. Unity is based on a common vision that is larger than the party or the leader of the party. The UCP once had a vision of a Sovereign Alberta that I could get behind. Now that the goal posts have been moved to “a stronger Alberta in a united Canada, it seems that the vision of the party has been reduced to “just beat the NDP.” That’s not leadership—that’s insecurity. Rob, I believe in a vision of a Sovereign Alberta, where we develop our people, our resources and infrastructure outside of Ottawa’s chokehold. If that cannot be achieved by the UCP, then Alberta Independence becomes the only way forward. The UCP has lost the vision of a Sovereign Alberta and is forced to align itself with a federal vision of joining the EU, resulting in the restrictions of our resources and out-of-control immigration. I can also foresee carbon taxes on Alberta’s resources, making our products too expensive to export, followed by mass layoffs. This is Alberta’s future under both UCP and NDP. DO WHAT YOU ACTUALLY CAMPAIGNED ON WITH THE MANDATE YOH RECEIVED WHEN WE ELECTED YOU! Where is the provincial police force? Why have you not pushed the federal government for that ‘number’ so we can move forward with discussion about a provincial pension? If they won’t give it, move forward anyways. Why did we have to vote on immigration questions that you already knew the answer to and had a mandate to do? Why is Alberta not collecting all the taxes yet? Why is the premier pretending that the 9 bad laws are gone and we can build pipelines to the coast? Albertans are so very very tired of stupid party games. Of wondering ‘what happened to Danielle Smith?’ Of holding their noses when they go to vote because we can’t get a leader who actually does what they campaigned on but heaven forbid we have the NDP. If our leaders won’t do what they campaigned on, what’s the difference? Who cares if we get the NDP if we don’t get the leader and government we actually voted for? At least we know from the get-go that they are compromised and crazy. Rather than dealing with the disappointment of what we have now. SMH that we’re pretty much back to a Kenney situation. I’ve got tickets to the AGM but don’t know if I want to waste a good weekend supporting more of the charade. A large part of the hope Albertans had for independence was the opportunity to reset the system, get to a place of true democracy, away from party politics, politicians who are only concerned with if they get elected next year and who have zero actual vision for the province past the next election cycle. We are oh, so very, tired of it all.
