ANNOUNCING TRANSIT AI - An SSH Client with a READ-ONLY agent built in. Most ā€œAI for networksā€ tools want write access to your production gear. I think that’s reckless. So I built the opposite. It’s live today. 🧵 → transitai.app

I recently rooted my 3 TVs, removed all apps, stopped most services, and disabled its internet access (LAN and local SSH only). I just use an Apple TV over HDMI anyways so there is no reason at all for this nonsense on my TV.
did you know your samsung tv has a service called rmdemon (that's not a typo, demon not daemon) that starts a PACKET LOGGER on your network. what possible legitimate use case could there be here, samsung?

If your company refers to engineers as the IT department, you have nothing to worry about. You were already breached last week.

as bad as things have gotten in the past 4 days, they are going to get a lot worse before they get better. security leaders, never let a crisis go to waste: please go to your boards and ask for help right now. not for ai, for the basics. (we need to hold on for ~18 months.)
The vulnerability tsunami is coming in just a few months and there won’t be enough time to patch critical infrastructure. Network isolation described below (air-gaps and data diodes!) needed now!

Honestly I wonder why @tesla is spending so much effort on making a rocket propelled flying cars when just building personal drones for transportation could be a thing. Hop in your drone, type in where you want to go, drone autonomously flies you there. Thoughts @elonmusk ?

I’m either going to be really really disappointed or really really relieved and nothing in between
A ā€˜RED RISING’ movie is in the works at Paramount • Francis Lawrence (ā€˜The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’) set to direct • The story follows a young miner living on Mars who attempts to bring down the color-coded class system (Source: hollywoodreporter.com/movies…)

Software isn’t dead. The value of software is about to be redistributed from ~10 corporations to the masses. It will be difficult to make life changing money from software and technology in 5-10 years. Really, Silicon Valley and the A16/YC complex is what is dead.
Saying software is dead because anyone can build it is like saying photography is dead now that everyone in the world has a camera in their pocket Not only is it not dead it's the beginning of the Kodak Brownie moment for software, and we will see an absolute explosion of it It will be the first generation for who building software will feel no different than using it. This is crazy! The quality and bar of what we expect from our everyday apps will be raised dramatically, we'll have personal software, we'll have disposable software, and agents will be the foundation for most of it Tech has always been chaotic and evolving, the people who have been able to adapt and move in front of new opportunities have always excelled, this is nothing new, I'm seeing it now and we'll see it 10 years from now Find the opportunities in the chaose and disruption, there are countless of them

An economy where A.I. agents have to pay us to perform tasks it can’t do. Who is building this?

I've never been more excited to hit merge on a PR than I was for this one. šŸŽ‰ It took 15 people on five continents to get here. @jondkinney kept a branch alive for almost a year. @tiredkebab's fork pushed the idea further. Then came a lot of long conversations with @maralcbr and @bi9kahuna to get it over the line. Major props to the rest of the Omarchy M team who helped in various ways as well: @martiano @riverleaf88 @buildwithdjdev @RyanTheTide @Acelogic_ @LiamRay1O @ewninjaofficial @jaidipsubedi @JoshuaSWarren @shawnyeager @novuon_ai @SiliconForested Thank you all. This one's special, and lays important groundwork.

SIMD-0525 mission accomplished: 200ms slots are now live on mainnet-beta. Blocks land twice as often as they did at genesis. An epoch now takes about a day instead of two. IBRL
Final slot reduction step: 200ms slots activation now pending on mainnet-beta. 400 → 350 → 300 → 250 → 200ms Reminder, SIMD-0525 features take effect one epoch after they activate. Thus, will go live at the epoch 1053 boundary ~15:00 UTC, Friday Oct 9th. - epoch 1051: pending activation
- epoch 1052: feature active
- epoch 1053: 200ms slots live

Unexpected and interesting
Important note regarding Grok @Bot: Going forward, @SpaceX will use the best back end model for any given task, including Claude Opus 5.5, MidJourney, Suno and other leading APIs. Whatever is most likely to give you the best outcome.

a weird inversion with LLMs is the models improve faster than the tinkerers when i see people with custom workflows and setups they're all addressing problems that don't exist anymore the person naively using vanilla codex is more likely to be experiencing state of the art

.@OpenAI Dot requests: - get caught up with @bot in terms of integrations. Need 1Password or some other secure credential manager integration. Need Plaid or some other financial integration. Need Discord integration. - Dot-to-Dot communications between members of the same workspace. - Dedicated Dot mobile app - A way to deploy dedicated subagents/chats for my Dot to manage and have the Dot serve as a manager (magnetic orchestration). It sort of does this now in a disorganized and chaotic manner
