A tribute among the stars for the man who helped us dream of exploring them.
NASA has honoured Sir Patrick Stewart with a Hubble image of distant galaxies whose shapes resemble the USS Enterprise. Alongside it, NASA Goddard shared a moving message: "History will never forget the name Captain Picard. Thank you for inspiring the Next Generation of explorers." [BBC Sky at Night Magazine](skyatnightmagazine.com/news/…)
For so many of us, Stewart made Jean-Luc Picard more than a captain on a television screen. He represented curiosity, compassion and the belief that humanity could build a better future. His strength came from knowing when to listen, when to stand firm and when to extend a hand.
There is something deeply fitting about remembering him through a glimpse of the real universe. The voyages were fiction, but the wonder they sparked was real.
Somewhere, someone looked up at the night sky because they first watched him look out from the bridge of the Enterprise.
Rest peacefully, Sir Patrick. And thank you for taking us along.

Today, more than ever before, I have to say how glad I am that we got season 3 of #StarTrekPicard, getting my favourite crew back together, just like in the beginning, and helping to overcome the trauma caused by Data's death in "Star Trek: Nemesis". I'm happy this was all resolved!🖖

“We lost one of the greats of stage and screen today. And, in my book, a tremendous friend and man. I learned so much from him. I will miss you, Patrick Stewart, all of my days.”

🚨 BOOM! NICKI MINAJ just called out Michigan Democrat Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, and she's RIGHT.
On Hasan Minhaj's show, El-Sayed mocked Pete Hegseth's MOM for cheering at his games, wearing his jersey, and making him cake.
Then he called Hegseth "mediocre" and asked what "we" would have become with parents like that.
That isn't a policy platform. That is a grudge.
Nicki's advice is good: mend your heart before you run for office!
If you listen carefully it’s a misplaced anger at his own parents for not making him feel worthy that turned into raging jealousy of other children who had parents that lifted them up and poured into them. He’s projected all of that onto white people. He needs to mend his heart before thinking about running for any office. White ppl haven’t hurt him. He knows exactly who did. Notice how he doesn’t get the satisfaction he was craving when the interviewer simply anchors himself & doesn’t validate that experience. We should all do more of this. Don’t validate anyone’s experience for the sake of temporary bonding.
