One way to get your ICPs attention on LinkedIn is to do a public breakdown of your ICP or competitor
But don’t just do it for growth hacks
Actually add value or insight that makes the company (and their audience) comment on your stuff
Don’t just repeat a framework they use, or how they launch their products
Actually outline the steps they take, and talk about WHY those steps are good
Subtly tag the founder
They’ll appreciate it, comment/like, and then you’ll start to be seen by their network (full of your ICPs)

Hell yeah.
Started writing a ‘north star’ long form content for clients every Monday.
This one is a ‘Work in public’ style article that talks about a case study (lying dormant on the website).
It’s a series we run once a week.
It breaks down the thing the ICP cares about - and talk about HOW + WHY.
Repurposed to 5-7 LinkedIn top, middle, and bottom funnel posts for the week.
Host long form on website / newsletter.
Link 2 posts to long form.
Sign up to newsletter
Nurture with 1x a week series.

George hasn't posted on LinkedIn in 2 years and has 339 connections.
And it took just ONE of my posts to convert a lead into a client within 24 hours of hitting publish.
"he [the lead] had already convinced himself he needed me"
The post isn't just content. It is pre-selling George's expertise to prospects. It's essentially a sales agent in the form of a case study.
Showing your expertise on LinkedIn doesn't just generate leads.. it shortens sales cycles, qualifies leads, and does the selling for you while you focus on client delivery.
Here's how you can do this too (bookmark this):
1. Know your ideal client profile
2. Write a clear LinkedIn headline
3. Update your About section to explain offer
4. Find a case study that solves your ICP's pain
5. Add a visual that shows the results
6. Write about the case study:
- Numbers on headline
- Tell a story (names/emotions/places)
- Show you understand the ICP problem
- Explain WHY you chose the solution
- Show WHY your ICP needs the solution
- Give some value (HOW ICP can apply)
- Add a 'The Takeaway' section at bottom
- Show authority (years of exp, results, brands you've worked with)
7. Post the thing
8. Check saves/followers/link clicks the day after
9. Iterate, improve, WOW your prospects
Here's a link to the exact case study that I wrote for George which got him the new client: tinyurl.com/yfut3b3u
George is my client (and my friend).
We did 3 (three) posts in August and filled his pipeline.
Validated demand for some new offers.
Launched those new offers.
Now he's executing on client work like crazy..
Whilst I'm turning his work into posts like these 👇
X + LinkedIn.
Keeping him top of ICPs mind.
Sending 20 new connects a day on LinkedIn to ICPs.
So when January comes.. they can see his work.
And know he solves their EXACT podcast pains.

I haven't posted in 4 days (on purpose).
I intentionally took some time away to reflect.
I've realised 9 cool things..
1. I found it REALLY hard not to post on here
2. Intentional breaks make me more thoughtful with client strategy and are 100% NEEDED
3. I'm more bullish on '100% verified' human content than ever before
4. 'Traditional' C-Suite decision makers will become more & more tired of AI content and DMs in 2026
5. Permission-less content AND showing your strategic thinking to large enterprise is the 2026 sales moat on LinkedIn
6. I'm keeping my moustache forever
7. I don't talk to enough people like I used to on X
8. I need to actively reignite conversations with people I think are cool on here
9. I am helping business owners capitalize on a huge social content opportunity: ultra specific, problem solving, audience leveraging content vs thoughtless AI

Helped a founder with 5 figure MRR get an inbound lead from LinkedIn content..
It took 7 weeks of experimentation with different types of content.
Then we finally found a winning format:
Short LinkedIn results post that links to their full case study on their website.
Here’s the funny thing.
This was an older case study already on their website.
Ideal buyers on LinkedIn just didn’t know it existed.
So I created a ‘front end’ post that acts as a 24/7 marketing tool that connects buyers on LinkedIn to my clients value:
The post:
1. We showed the problems.
2. We showed ‘some’ process to solve.
3. We showed the results.
4. We added the video testimonial.
The marketing method:
1. Featured on their profile.
2. Linked to the full website case study.
Lead found this and clicked thru.
If this post did NOT exist, they wouldn’t be aware of my clients value.
And they would have never read the full thing on the website.
The post wasn’t even long. We didn’t give FULL value in this post because whilst useful, cold buyers need MORE trust to click that ‘book a call’ button.
We built that trust by driving buyers to the website - where they can explore the full case study, other results and pricing.
Old case studies are lead magnets!

Today this moved from a pilot project to a call with a decision maker at this $40M ARR company.
Working for your dream customer on LinkedIn WORKS.

I helped a founder get a pilot project with a $40M ARR company 😎
Here’s how we’re using work in public posts to stand out from rubbish AI DMs:
First, we found a pain the company has.
Then showed our strategic thinking by putting the solution in a carousel.
We didn’t DM it. We just went straight to the prospect direct.
On the LinkedIn timeline. In a post.
Short post + canva slides.
1. Tagged decision maker
2. Sent connect, DM after
3. Found out their pains

I turned @thiswillblossom 's client result into a post that builds trust with 100s of ICPs
Here's what, why, and how we did it..
(and how you can too):
The post
The performance (X + LinkedIn)
✅ 97 bookmarks (X)
✅ 8 reposts
Read on to learn how write posts that get ICPs to:
- Accept LinkedIn connect requests
- Reply to your DMs
- Share your content with their team
(Remember to bookmark for later)
The why:
First, why did we start with past work?
1️⃣ Increases future ICP DM replies
Not ideal = tag ICPs who've never heard of you before with no social proof relevant to their pain
VERY ideal = do one client result post BEFORE tagging your ICP with value so they see it, trust you, and reply
2️⃣ Reaches ICPs in client's audience
Your client likely has followers / connections on X and LinkedIn that fit your ICP.
Reposts from the client will bring new, potential ICP visitors to your profile.
Who then see your social proof and...
You get the picture.
Action #1: Find a client result to turn into a post..
1. Check your website reviews
2. Check Senja testimonials
3. Find client that will repost it (tap into their audience)
4. Use a result that is relevant to your target audience
How to turn this into a post ICPs cannot ignore?
Action #2: Use these 3 principles to write a banger..
1️⃣ Grab the reader ASAP
You have 2-3 seconds before they ignore.
Write a killer hook:
How:
- Transformation + numbers in hook
- Results in image to add credibility
- (here's how we did it) so they click 'see more'
- Story: real names, emotions, challenges, solution
2️⃣ Deliver on the promise
Show the what AND the how.
Delight the reader with actionable steps:
How:
- Lists (dashes + numbers)
- Sentence spacing
- Bad vs good examples
- How you (the reader) can do it too
3️⃣ Leave them wanting more
Add a CTA.
Make them remember you.
Leave them with a reason to come back.
How:
- Leave with a takeaway
- Soft CTA to check 1st comment to MORE social proof
Lera linked to Adam's YouTube channel.
More results = more trust.
Action #3: Do this after posting..
1. Pin on X and feature on LinkedIn
2. Reply to comments ASAP
3. Check likes + comments and follow ICPs
4. Send no-sell DMs to them
5. Add a CTA to MORE proof, like website
6. Quote the post 4 hours later with an insight like:
'why we chose this way'
'how we made this'
'what I would do differentially'
Congrats, you've got a trust building asset that 100s of ICP will see every month on X and LinkedIn.
we tripled @adamlyttleapps's youtube subscribers from 6K to 22K in 6 months (here’s how we did it)
Adam came to us in january.
he has insane authentic charisma on screen!
our literal dream person to work with.
but he needed more time to focus on what he loved..
building products and making videos about them.
our solution?
1. consistent videos.
2. strong intros/outros.
if you:
- aren’t spending enough time building
- want to grow your audience on YouTube
save this youtube playbook to go from “how?” to “i know what to do.” 👇
1️⃣ publish twice a week, every week
it took Adam 1 week to edit 1 video and upload.
this slowed publishing (and growing an audience).
we used this workflow to fix it:
1. we agreed to produce 2 long-form vlogs weekly
2. Adam sent us the script, recording, and b-roll
3. we did our magic + set aside 1 day for changes
4. Adam publishes a new vlog every Wed and Fri
consistency = growth.
2️⃣ use strong intros to keep people hooked
your intro is your hook. but most people leave your video in 5 seconds!
why?
- the intro doesn’t give what’s promised in the title
- the video starts slow or is confusing
the worst intros..
- feel different from the title + thumbnail
- takes too long to get to the point
the best intros?
- match the title + thumbnail
- give a reason to stay
- make someone think ‘yes, this is what I came for!’
how to create a killer intro for your next video:
1. keep it between 20-30 secs
2. hook fast: edits, captions, voiceover
3. rewrite your intro if it feels weak
but don’t forget..
3️⃣ make people remember your outro
your outro is a handoff.
it’s the last thing people remember.
‘thanks for watching’ won’t make them come back.
a good outro:
- wraps up the idea + gives the next step
- gives a reason to stay on your channel or share it
- leaves the viewer with a clear takeaway
use these for your next outro:
‘be sure to subscribe and check my progress on this next week…’
‘Share your thoughts below. i read every comment for the next video topic’
why does all this matter? 🤔
if your intro + outro are weak, people just leave.
but a great intro + outro?
makes people WANT to return to your channel.
p.s. check below to see a video we created that got Adam 100k+ views for the first time 👇

video agency founders can get 3+ leads p/mo by becoming the main character of their niche
*stares in confusion*
let me explain.
i worked with a founder called George Boyd in July.
he's been in video production for 14+ yrs and has worked with Disney, NFL, Meta
he messaged me in July after seeing my work in public offer launch.
we filled his pipeline with only 3 posts over 3 weeks
now he's becoming a household name for creators and agencies that need expert video help. delightful.
so i'm sharing exactly how we did it so you can become the main character of your niche 👇
--
step 1. build your warm list
open a google sheet.
write 10 names: ex-clients, colleagues, friends.
filter: only keep people you did great work for + who have at least 1k followers. they must fit ICP or have an audience packed with your ICP.
manually search thru follows, check replies to their highlighted posts, or use Drippi to analyse.
this is the list that get your posts seen by ICPs hidden in their X followers.
DM them to give them a heads up. this increases chances of them sharing wider to their ICP packed followers.
--
step 2. do your video magic
2 options:
1. find 1 video from each person on YouTube or X
2. just use real work you've delivered before
find something that is 20+ mins long
create a 60 promo video.
clip them saying something useful or interesting.
but i'm not a video producer haha. George is tho.
here's his process. copy it:
--
step 3. write your post
you have 2 options:
1. long form for telling them how to use the promo video to increase lead gen.
2. thread if you are breaking down what you changed and why (more detailed, needs thread to bite size it)
CTA:
3. use simple cal(dot)com link. add 2-6 hrs later.
long form hook example:
i will add George's posts in the 1st reply in a few hrs, so you can see them and adapt.
--
step 4. post that sh*t
publish 2-3 times per week.
tag the person you clipped if it's a new post.
OR quote them if you find a relevant post to your offer.
best posts to quote are ones where they talk about pains or the original long form video on here
after posting, send them this message:
“hey [name], thanks for being open to this work in public post. hope you like it - just posted”
they will repost it.
--
step 5. track signals (not vanity likes)
after each post:
pin it ASAP.
check bookmarks → strongest buying signal.
reply to people ASAP with thoughtful responses.
check likes → dm anyone who fits your ICP:
“hey [name], thanks for your small show of support, thought I'd say hey and looking fwd to seeing more of you on my TL”
George did this and got a lead from it. it's non pushy and gently opens the door.
--
step 6. track these weekly KPIs
- 2-3 posts live.
- 10 ICPs engaged (dm, comment reply, calls).
- 2-3 convos started.
- 1 call booked.
--
step 7. expand beyond your network
once you’ve done 5 warm posts, move to cold ICPs.
find new profiles on X that are similar to the best performing posts you just did for network folk.
- search thru ICP highlights for ICP replies to posts
- click on ICP profile and check 'Who to follow'
- ask first 5 network ICPs from step 1 to warm intro or recommend next one to do it for
search X/Linkedin/Youtube for ICPs recent videos.
follow steps 1-7. rinse, repeat, close.
if you're hesitant, just remember you have a live portfolio of your work that cold ICPs will look at and think 'this person knows their stuff'
your feed has credibility. strangers take you seriously.
--
step 8. scale the system
the following Monday:
batch 3 ICP clips in one sitting to save time.
as revenue grows, outsource editing + scheduling to a junior or freelancer.
repurpose to LinkedIn if you're feeling ballsy.
--
the entire workflow in one shot:
- list 10 warm contacts.
- dm to warm them up.
- pull 1 clip each from previous work or raw YT pods.
- edit into 30-90s vertical video.
- post with hook + breakdown + cta.
- pin it for algo boost.
- dm after posting.
- dm ICPs that like / reply.
- do a 'why + how i did this' QT the next day for reach.
- repeat 2-3x/week.
- after 5-10 warm posts, start on cold ICPs.
if you follow this exactly for 6-8 weeks, you’ll have:
- 10-15 strong proof posts on your feed.
- regular ICP conversations in dms.
- booked calls without outbound spam.
- time to focus on client work.
a biz dev engine that runs while you’re busy delivering client work.
dm me if you wanna chat thru :)

I found a new market & offer you could test for @MicroLaunchHQ today
Target:
Growing tech start-ups like @neondatabase
Goals:
1. Partner with them, help their massive dev audience.
2. Create a new dev user base for Microlaunch.
3. Supercharge Microlaunch growth in 2026.
Why Neon?
1. Acquired by Databricks in 2025
2. Expanding product lines
3. Community drives new products + features
4. Past growth tied to content + education
- Case studies
- Discord and GitHub community
- 100s of articles linked in X posts
5. Active staff on X
- Easy to engage them
OK - what can you offer them?
Right now your premium package:
- Drives SEO with 4x pages
- Provides DR backlinks to improve authority
- Drives traffic with extended launch
- Social and newsletter mentions
- SEO-optimized product review
All of these are great.
But Neon has a lot of this covered.
So, what could you offer to make them partner?
Prove you care about what they care about.
Prove you can serve their massive dev community.
1. Add a new offer to the Microlaunch site
Example: Launch Momentum
Premium product exposure for growing tech brands
Target their upcoming release:
neon.com/use-cases/ai-agents
Benefits:
1. Recurring launch campaign over 90 days
2. Auto distribution to channels like Reddit, Linkedin
3. Featured for the quarter
4. Showcases devs too, not just Microlaunch
2. Set up a Neon Microlaunch page
Goal:
Make it look like a real marketing asset Neon could say 'yes' to tomorrow
1. Create a mockup launch page in Microlaunch
2. Personalise to their company:
Structure:
H1: 'Neon introduces automated snapshot scheduling'
H2: 'Hands-off backups for devs building apps'
Feature bullets (from their page)
CTA: 'Join Neon's waitlist'
3. Link to their pre-launch waitlist to drive PR
4. Automate sharing with Micro dev users
3. Create a post and tag active Neon staff on X
1. @ andrelandgraf
2. @ nikitabase
Structure it similar to this post :)
START
Hook idea:
I built a marketing campaign for @ Neons upcoming ai agent launch
The goal? show this new feature to 50k devs across X, LinkedIn, and Reddit
Body - include:
- What you did
- What's in it for them
- Why you did it
- How you did it
Attach a 10 sec scrolling clip of the Micro page.
Tag the staff at bottom
'Let me know if you'd like to launch for free on microlaunch when it goes live'
END
4. Monitor & engage
- Reply fast
- Repost a few times over a few days
- Pin on profile to boost
- Quote it a few hours later talking about ML story
- Reply to DMs
- Send friendly DMs, no ask - value / take questions
Enjoy!

I found a way for you to test a new market
Do a Work in Public post for this company 👇
Name: Tenna
Industry: Construction Software Provider
Services: Construction, Contractors
Signal: 2 week open web designer role on LinkedIn
Approach: Tag in a website re design on LinkedIn
Why target them?
1. Design appreciation
Construction firms might not directly understand the importance of design.
But a vendor that provides software to them does.
--
2. Construction connections
Tenna has 100 years of construction experience.
If you can prove your expertise, you may get warm intros to construction firms.
--
3. They need design expertise
Tenna is hiring a web designer because they want to improve the UX/UI of their website: linkedin.com/jobs/view/43175…
It literally says it in the job description:
--
The goal of tagging them in a post?
1. Get their attention
2. Get a decision maker or influencer to reply to a DM
3. Position yourself as a trusted partner vs a hire
First, some housekeeping..
1. Add your website in LinkedIn bio
2. Make your LinkedIn headline VERY clear: 'I help [ICP] achieve [outcome] with [your offer]'
3. Make construction social proof visible on website
4. Write post re construction design, feature on profile
5. Prep a PDF portfolio with construction at top
6. Add a book a call / cal link to your website ASAP
Now - how to get their attention?
1. Re-design this page on their website:
tenna.com/scheduling-and-dis…
--
2. Write a short before vs after post on LinkedIn:
START
Hook idea:
I re-designed @ Tenna's site to make them the #1 tech vendor for construction firms:
Body - include:
- What you did
- Why you did it
- How you did it
Attach a 10 sec scrolling clip of the new design.
Tag the hiring manager at bottom of post:
'Would love your feedback @(hiringmanager)
Will DM you the full Figma file.'
Add a CTA:
I run a studio offering web dev, UX, and branding services.
I design trust building websites for mid sized firms, and have helped (X) construction firms achieve (relevant benefit) with new (what you delivered e.g. website).
If you want your website to truly reflect your brand - get in touch: [add cal link].
END
--
3. Send connection requests to Tenna employees
i) Go to Sales Navigator
ii) Search Tenna
iii) Filter to decision makers
iv) Filter to 'Posted on LinkedIn'
Send connects to:
- Director of HR (hiring manager for design role)
- VP of Marketing
- Chief Product Officer
--
4. Monitor & engage
i) Accepted connections?
Send DM with post link + portfolio to Dir of HR.
Send DM asking for feedback on design to VP + CPO.
End with a simple question like:
'Do you want the full Figma file?'
ii) Likes or replies from anyone at Tenna?
Same as above.
iii) Likes or replies from random people?
Check account for ICP fit and send connects.
They could give you future warm intros.
--
5. No reply? No problem.
Send 5 more connect requests to more Tenna people.
Send more DMs.
Find the one contact who replies.
When they do reply?
Give value - send the Figma file.
Add a book a call link in the file if poss.
Ask questions - exactly like you do in discovery.
Low friction offer - offer a 30 min brainstorming call.
--
6. Repeat 4 more times
Repeat the above by scrolling open designer roles in the construction industry.
Use this link: tinyurl.com/mvys49tz
Go down 1 by 1, repeat until you've tagged 5 firms.
If you get no ICP likes, comments, DM replies - you can eliminate this industry and move to the next.
Happy hunting 😎
--
P.S. if you're reading this, this is what I do - help high growth founders enter new markets with work in public consulting. DM me if interested!

i turned @OpenAI's demo into a 45-sec clip
(to help more devs see it on socials)
imagine a developer searching "best ai agents for coding multiple tasks" on youtube
they find this short – and in under a minute, they get it
OpenAI's youtube channel already has super valuable conferences, demos, and podcasts
and here’s how OpenAI can reach more developers by turning these into shorts:
1️⃣ increase product visibility on youtube
• find 3 key ideas from a long video
• make each into a 30–60 sec short
• upload and link to the full video
2️⃣ reach enterprise teams on linkedin and twitter
• post the same shorts there
• add the full video link in the first reply
• connect it to the product page
do this weekly and more people see OpenAI, understand it, and love it

how @vercel can become the go-to app builder for devs:
there are 500k+ senior engineers in the US, all trying to handle lots of work and dozens of ai tools
getting their attention is hard
keeping it? even harder
so if they do see a product video on youtube, you have 5 seconds to keep them watching
if they stop watching:
• they won’t remember the product
• they'll go with another vendor
• so how can vercel get their attention – and keep it?
for every long video on youtube, vercel can make:
• 1 short showing a real dev pain
• 1 quick demo clip that shows how vercel fixes it
here’s the plan that doubles your brand’s reach:
get seen by more devs on socials
• find 3 key moments from a long video
• turn each into a 60-sec short
• post those clips on youtube, twitter, linkedin
• link back to the full episode
• send traffic to the youtube channel
repeat weekly
the result?
• more devs see vercel
• more understand it
• more choose it
that’s how vercel becomes the #1 platform devs build on

here’s how @ycombinator could reach more founders
(and help them start building faster)
i watched yc's episode with jordan fisher (standard ai) – super valuable!! it’s a real reminder to act now and build something people love
but let’s be honest – most early founders don’t have time to watch long videos
so i made a 50-second clip from this video
now a busy founder can:
1. quickly watch it
2. feel motivated to finally start building
3. feel confident enough to apply to YC
YC could reach 10x more founders just by turning their long talks into short weekly clips for youtube, linkedIn, twitter, and tiktok
1 long video = 3 shorts = thousands of motivated founders
@koomen @dflieb @gustaf @garrytan you can use this method to reach more ai startup founders worldwide!
