‘The only thing of yours I’ve ever read is the only thing you’ve ever said.’ Almost quaint to see a classic social media fallacy alive and well. Your original tweet is interesting in how govts often take dom PR for granted when doing intl PR, as though the latter serves former.

She has always been hostile to anti-genocide activism and protest. Search her account for ‘criminal damage’ and you will see her regularly doing so. If you supported her without knowing her, you threw yourself under the bus. Learn who your actual allies are.

She condemned anti-genocide protestors splashing red paint on labour headquarters. She’s always been consistent on this. Which made it more galling when some on the left made her a cause celebre for getting sacked. When will they learn to hold more than one thought at a time.

Does she condemn the terrorising breach of a protective cordon we witnessed from Mayo fans in Dublin this summer?

Projection. Right wing religious fundamentalists can’t imagine an adult contacting a child without bad intentions.

Seems like a little bit of war economy is the worst of both peace and war

Pressing is a high variability strategy making it more vulnerable to state changes. When these changes happen within games, they even out over a league season (why they succeed less in cups). Takes too much work to have alt strategies. Raises ceiling but caps it before the top.

Minimal effects can make sense, for it being such an imprecise procedure, which makes it weird it was accepted so readily.

I’ve never seen a player so humbly in awe of the transcendence of their own performance, as though he’s witnessing the absurdity of being the temporary human instrument of a passing god.

YouTubers use AI thumbnails because A/B testing on their own videos shows they are more popular. Creators feel this is a simple decision, but I would argue the testing measures click rate, not the quality and sustainability of the audience. Harder to measure but time will tell.

UEFA saying they can’t investigate because the Irish team didn’t use the specific term ‘saliva’

FAI decided to fulfil the fixture. This what it’s like dealing with Israelis.

Convenient how UEFA are never able to do anything about Israeli journalists or fans abusing the Ireland team.

Fair play to you and the rest of the Irish press pack for not rising to the provocations during this period either.

Vietor: “I don’t understand why you want to tweet this dishonest and hacky stuff!” Tim Miller to Tanden: ‘I understand why you attack dems’ Centrists and moderates always with the effortful naivety about their saboteur ‘allies’

Unfortunately nobody cares except for a minority of fans and serious journalists. Most media and football people want minimal consequences. It’s driving engagement for most fans of anything. It’s just part of the banter and drama. Sign of the times.
