Ever increasingly we hear from the modern world “Live your truth.” or “Be your authentic self, find your own identity.” while the gospel tells us who our Savior is. It tells us what our identity is in our natural state, but more importantly it tells us what our identity can be in Christ.
We cannot save ourselves, we cannot live out unnatural lives contrary to God’s design while demanding justification. Cling to the Cross, seek first the kingdom of God and lean on Him rather than yourself.

Don't confuse these:
1. Faith with faithfulness.
2. Justification with sanctification.
3. The cause of salvation with its fruit.
If you stood before God tonight and He asked, “Why should I let you into heaven?” what would your reason be?
One sentence or less.
From “Morning & Evening” by Charles H. Spurgeon.
“That man is out of joint with the universe who takes all but makes no return.”
Bunyan wrote this in Grace Abounding to the Chief of Sinners (1666), after years of torment over his sin. Peace came when he saw his righteousness was not in his feelings at all, but in Christ at God’s right hand.

Polygamy is unbiblical. Marriage = one man + one woman. This heretic is a mouthpiece for Satan.
From “Morning & Evening” by Charles H. Spurgeon.
“It needs faith to act towards our God with an open hand, but surely he deserves it of us; and all that we can do is a very poor acknowledgment of our amazing indebtedness to his goodness.”
From “Morning & Evening” by Charles H. Spurgeon.
“Chance is banished from the faith of Christians, for they see the hand of God in everything.”
Calvin was not pointing to Rome here. He meant any church where the Word of God is sincerely preached and heard and the sacraments are administered as Christ instituted them (Institutes 4.1.9). That is where God feeds His children. Don’t neglect it.

When about three thousand received Peter’s word at Pentecost, they were baptized and added to the believers (Acts 2:41). And they stayed. The Christian life was never meant to be lived alone.
What has your local church meant to your walk with Christ?

Dale, you literally had to publicly apologize for misleading people about your own credentials and you’ve had plagiarism accusations follow you around for years. Maybe sitting on a high horse over Samuel isn’t the move here.
He challenged your theology and called you a false teacher. Fine. You clearly hate the guy. But posting his mugshot and basically going “maybe he gets deported, I trust the Lord” when he hasn’t even been charged with a crime just makes you look bitter as hell.
For someone who talks nonstop about biblical masculinity, this feels a whole lot more like celebrating because a guy who embarrassed you is having a bad day.
Maybe deal with the plank first.
