I seem to recall wars being fought over this same ideology…
This is a sad, pitiful, and concerning statement from someone who calls themselves a Christian.

The point of the question is to cause one to think of what they’re trusting in that would gain them Heaven. If you were asked directly by anyone -much less Christ- why you should be allowed in, what’s the answer?

The KJV while accurate, does have its own issues due to translation and underlying manuscript(s) differences. To cite it as the “most / least accurate” isn’t a good claim, as it’s hugely dependent on which method you’re ranking it by.
Generally speaking, as long as you’re using a word-for-word / formal equivalence translation, you’re in a good position. If you migrate to thought-for-thought or paraphrased translations however, that’s when you’ll be in a more dangerous area.
It’s best to read in the original language if you have the ability to, or at the least utilizing multiple translations along with a concordance / interlinear text.

Don't confuse these:
1. Faith with faithfulness.
2. Justification with sanctification.
3. The cause of salvation with its fruit.
If you stood before God tonight and He asked, “Why should I let you into heaven?” what would your reason be?
One sentence or less.
From “Morning & Evening” by Charles H. Spurgeon.
“That man is out of joint with the universe who takes all but makes no return.”
Bunyan wrote this in Grace Abounding to the Chief of Sinners (1666), after years of torment over his sin. Peace came when he saw his righteousness was not in his feelings at all, but in Christ at God’s right hand.

Polygamy is unbiblical. Marriage = one man + one woman. This heretic is a mouthpiece for Satan.
From “Morning & Evening” by Charles H. Spurgeon.
“It needs faith to act towards our God with an open hand, but surely he deserves it of us; and all that we can do is a very poor acknowledgment of our amazing indebtedness to his goodness.”
From “Morning & Evening” by Charles H. Spurgeon.
“Chance is banished from the faith of Christians, for they see the hand of God in everything.”
Calvin was not pointing to Rome here. He meant any church where the Word of God is sincerely preached and heard and the sacraments are administered as Christ instituted them (Institutes 4.1.9). That is where God feeds His children. Don’t neglect it.
