When combine harvester harvests paddy, it leaves stubble and that stubble was of no use earlier. So it used to be burnt. In this video the stubble has been cut and stacked for sale or to be utilised for some other purpose. To tarnish #Punjab this fire has been stage managed apparently. A farmer will understand it better. As they say “ नक़ल के लिए भी अक़्ल चाहिए”. But apparently @AHindinews is too busy in spinning stories for monetary gains, it failed to look through the stage managed stubble burning. These fake incidents alienate people. What a shame @smitaprakash

At this point ANI just works to vilify Punjab farmers. Just see the video and notice around, you can see clear skies, no smoke from any fields but instead bales of parali made and kept in the fields. The laborer they hired to create this clip is also carrying bales of parali. Till about last few years they used to show actual farm fires. Then in last five years the fire incidents started decreasing drastically - they started replaying old videos. Now, as the fire incidents have reduced to almost nil - they have started staging these fires. F*ck You - @ANI and @smitaprakash

If there had been electoral reforms in the early 2000s, AAP winning in 2014 and CJP winning in 2029 wouldn’t have seemed so crazy. Take money and coercion out of Indian politics, and any popular people’s movement can sweep the national elections.
