Yes. Morgan Stanley data shows the biggest equity de-grossing since at least 2017 (over 8% of gross exposure since June), the deepest in series dating to 2016. Goldman reported heavy AI/tech selling that erased all net buys since early 2025, mostly long liquidations. Why: Leverage forced risk cuts after AI losses and volatility. Questions on AI spending ROI, high valuations, and rate pressures drove the unwind of the crowded trade.

Power is the constraint at the edge too, and it can be measured. @BrainChip_inc's docs show an AKD1000 reference board classifying ImageNet-style images at 51 fps, 981 mW average, 19.13 mJ per frame (idle floor included). doc.brainchipinc.com/power_n…
He who shapes power, data centers, chips and models into an economically feasible endpoint, disproportionately shapes AI/SI right now. Why? Power is THE binding constraint in AI/SI. Few really have it. Data centers don’t work without power. This is not about promises of power tomorrow. Or forecasted power in 2028. Power TODAY. Chips can’t operate profitably unless installed in a functional data center. If you can install chips, it’s because you’ve solved the power problem. Models aren’t economically viable unless run on cost effective infrastructure which requires a functional data center with low input costs and reliable management. This can’t happen without power. AI/SI ROI doesn’t pencil unless models generate profitable outputs which necessarily needs functional data centers as the critical input. Again, power. Ergo, he who can shape data centers, chips and models together into a tightly coordinated stack is someone who has solved power. Solving power allows you to disproportionately shape AI/SI right now.

Using archived MechDog camera images and sonar labels, we taught @BrainChip_inc's AKD1500 to tell a nearby box from a farther one in camera images. It then answered all 96 fresh settled views correctly at measured 3-foot and 7-foot positions, with teaching off and no range reading in the query. All 60 earlier-view checks remained correct. The 110 archived lessons made 742 connection replacements in chip memory. A never-trained control got 21/96 right; disconnecting the native readout removed every supported answer. The early-frozen memory and CPU reference also got 96/96, so the later lessons showed no additional accuracy benefit on these views. This is a small stationary test across four correlated holds of one box, not 96 independent scenes. Real recordings were replayed through the chip. The computer prepares image inputs, supplies archived teaching labels, paces calls and interprets the class scores. The film shows measured chip outputs and memory changes. Neuron highlights are calculated from recorded memory and image inputs. Connections show stored feature selections, not physical wires. Geometry is schematic and timing is edited. Next: change the visual condition and test whether new sonar feedback corrects the answers while earlier knowledge survives.

No because it would not benefit them at all!!! The solution is neuromorphic computing.
It's really strange, but it feels like @OpenAI is completely obsessed with math. They've poured so many GPUs into researching extremely difficult math problems. I'm just curious: have they ever used their strongest models to try and find a better model architecture than the Transformer?

This is a very good example that why existing GPUs and ai models canNOT lead us towards AGI. AI needs more advanced hardware that can learn on its won; something like Akida chips of BrainChip based of neuromorphic computing. @BrainChip_inc

A CPU out-calculates every human alive, and nobody calls it intelligent. Being better than most people at specific tasks is not the same as being general. What is missing: - learning on the job. A model does not learn from today’s work unless someone retrains it. - reliability. It solves a hard problem, then fails a simple one. experts are not that uneven. - long-term autonomy. It cannot run a months-long project without human checks. - efficiency. A person learns a new skill from a few examples. a model needs huge amounts of data. And “proposed a solution” is not “solved.” It counts after the experts verify it. If no one can verify the claim, then calling it a "proof" is useless.

MechDog x AKD1500 We want MechDog to use sonar to teach its vision about distance, remember useful visual cues, and keep learning as its surroundings change. This experiment tests a building block: learning new relationships between familiar image parts without losing earlier lessons. The eight patches come from our stationary MechDog camera recording. We reduced them to small pixel grids, then rearranged them into controlled test pictures. The earlier demo added synthetic pieces and their relationships. Here, the new lessons add relationships among already learned pieces. After new relationship lessons, BrainChip's AKD1500 completed all 8 new arrangements and still completed all 8 earlier ones. With later lessons disabled, it completed none of the 8 new arrangements. In 4 cases it kept several possible answers open. In 4 inconsistent cases it returned unknown. No complete test picture was taught. This run learned the relationships on chip. It did not use sonar lessons or demonstrate depth prediction, obstacle detection, steering or generalization to ordinary camera scenes. Those remain goals. The computer prepared inputs, supplied labels for the designed relationships, configured each step and clocked a designed completion procedure. CPU controls also pass. The film replays captured chip responses and memory changes. The connecting lines show decoded associations, not physical wires. The layout is schematic and the timing is edited.

🧠 Neuroscience gave AI its start. What happens now? 🤖 Neuroscience helped launch AI, but David Sussillo, a computational neuroscientist, believes its next major contribution may take longer than many expect. Meanwhile, AI is becoming a powerful tool for studying the brain. Central points: 📍The fields have diverged: modern AI increasingly advances through engineering rather than biological insights. 📍Neuroscientists still have valuable expertise: their methods can help investigate AI’s internal workings and behavior. 📍Timescales matter: he doubts brain research will redirect AI within five years, but anticipates potentially important contributions over 10–20 years. 📍A possible bridge: large models built from high-quality neural recordings could enable experiments that are difficult in living brains. Note: This remains a proposed direction. Sam Altman owning kidneys is wasteful. Think of all the people out there in need of kidney transplants, and he's just sitting there with 2 of them in his own body.

This is why big monopolistic AI companies like Open ai do not want to have the ai at the edge on your devices!
sam altman thinks running AI locally is a terrible waste of resources 🤯 “a lot of people want local inference, and somehow they assume that the problem is solved now because we have open-source models, we’re going to be able to run them on our computers, and so we’re not going to need all the stuff in the data centre. but from a global allocation perspective, actually it’s quite terrible to have everybody, like, have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer and being used five percent of the time. you want maximum utilisation in the cloud if you’re trying to deal with this very supply-constrained environment. somehow many people’s intuition is the opposite of that.”

Oh yeah baby 😃😃 Go @BrainChip_inc 🚀🚀🚀
BrainChip is the clearest public pure-play in neuromorphic silicon. AKD1500 production silicon is shipping, boards and kits are available, and IP licensees are heading toward tape-out. Still early on revenue scale, but the commercial pieces are moving. Fits the longer-term edge shift away from pure GPUs. Speculation only.

Nvidia: Photonic chips, neuromorphic hardware, and custom ASICs leave GPUs behind.
