Do you know that there are simple infrastructure configurations you can set up today that will help your application handle growth without writing a lot of extra code? For instance, with Cloudflare, you can enable: CDN and Caching: Serve static assets from locations closer to your users, reducing latency and the load on your origin server. DDoS Protection: Help protect your application from malicious traffic intended to overwhelm your infrastructure. Rate Limiting: Control how frequently clients can hit your endpoints to reduce abuse and protect your backend resources. WAF (Web Application Firewall): Filter suspicious requests and block common web attack patterns before they reach your application. Now, if you’re deploying on platforms like AWS, Vercel, or Render, there are also infrastructure capabilities you can take advantage of. AWS Auto Scaling: Automatically add or remove compute capacity based on demand. AWS Application Load Balancer: Distribute incoming traffic across multiple healthy targets. Vercel Edge Network and Caching: Deliver supported content closer to users and reduce unnecessary requests to your application. Render Autoscaling: Automatically scale supported services based on traffic and resource demand. The interesting thing is that much of this infrastructure already exists. In many cases, you don’t need to build everything from scratch. You need to understand what your platform offers, configure it correctly, and know when to use each capability. Of course, these configurations don’t replace good application design. Database bottlenecks, inefficient queries, memory leaks, and poorly designed background jobs can still become problems as traffic grows. But before writing hundreds of lines of code to solve one scaling problem, first ask yourself: Does my infrastructure already have a solution for this?

Sam Altman said AI will give birth to the first solo Billionaire and will bring more prosperity to people This Lagos game is evidence AI will birth more prosperity to people just the same way the internet and computers did The world will only get richer and better with these Innovations Your only problem will be your mind and the shackles in it holding you back. Especially those who still think things have to be done the old way. The old way is done 8 years ago, The builder of the Lagos game would have needed 7 months and a team of at least 5 to build 25% of that game. That was limiting AI has scrapped that.

Ugo is working on Computer Vision + Robotics at Apple, and he is just 16 years old. And some adults are trying to convince themselves that Nigerian students shouldn’t be admitted to university at 16. Anyway, I hope Ugo joins soon to mentor our youngsters in the South East.
A little over two years ago, I came to the U.S. from Nigeria at 14 with a suitcase and an obsession with ML. Today, I'm 16 and working on Computer Vision + Robotics at @Apple Recap: → Competed in Math & Physics Olympiads from 11y/o → Won Rubik’s Cube competitions at my boarding school, with a personal best of 18 seconds → Lost my grandma to an undiagnosed illness: one of the reasons I became very interested in AI → Graduated high school and started college at 15 → Researched diffusion models for crystal generation, inspired by drug discovery → Prototyped robotic wheelchairs for people with disabilities → Worked on an EdTech startup, OpenClaw for Students → Joined @Apple this may on the ESCI org! → Went to @ycombinator startup and met of the brightest and most ambitious minds My dream is to build companies that expand what humanity can do with AI I'll be sharing my journey here! Physical AI, agentic systems, and everything I'm learning along the way.

I am super excited to be a volunteer at the ongoing hands-on experiential intensive bootcamp going on at Enugu where the top 40 winners of the last South East Maths Olympiad winners from Enugu will receive hands-on training in advanced robotics and AI. This will be a three-week intensive program, designed to transform these brilliant young minds into a new generation of innovators with real-world, practical skills. Thank you @winexviv for having me in your team!!! This will be an interesting journey.
