Loved To Save The Sea at @traversetheatre last night. So good & rare to see uncompromising political theatre that is also that entertaining. Well done to @islacowan, Andy McGregor, @SWtheatre, the amazing cast and everyone else involved! 🌊
Can’t stop thinking about this scene in THE SUBSTANCE. Not seen anything quite like it before, in terms of how much it resonates with my experience … really hammers home why we need more female writer-directors (esp in horror) imo
THIS moment in The Substance is the most relatable scene of the year for me. It perfectly captures my exact experience of body dysmorphia in a way I’ve never seen in film before.
Countless dates, events, and parties I’ve cancelled on because everything I put on my body and face makes me want to rip my hair and skin off.. Thank you Demi and Coralie 🥹💕
What is going on in Scotland right now? These cuts need to be fought every step of the way. The CCA was my favourite building when I moved here knowing no-one 10 yrs ago. It will be the same for many people and people born & raised here. These places are important

My take on Sally Rooney is that she’s used her fame to publicly condemn apartheid & genocide while her peers in bestseller-to-TV-adaptation megastardom (Maine horror guy & Canadian dystopia woman) have tweeted about US politics every single day without once mentioning Israel/Gaza
I really respect Stef O’Driscoll. For those who can’t get past the paywall, management insisted on references to trans rights and Palestine solidarity be taken out, and she stood her ground. Solidarity to Stef and to this company. It sounded like an amazing show.
Exclusive: Director Stef O’Driscoll has spoken out for the first time about her cancelled production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Royal Exchange and the precise reasons it was pulled.

Playfight by @jugrogan @painesplough roundabout @Summerhallery is amazing - vividly written, beautifully directed, fantastically & realistically performed, and wickedly relatable for anyone who has ever been a teenage girl. Lives up to the hype 👏👏

To be honest, I would be quite happy if everyone who says Govanhill is a "no go" area didnt come here. I would encourage them to stay away.

Last October, CAA forced out a top agent for calling the devastation in Gaza a genocide. Yesterday Selma Blair, who is repped by CAA and promoted on @caaspeakers, said Islam “destroys minds” and called for Muslims to “meet their fate.” Will CAA drop Blair for her vile bigotry?

The thing is if you don’t pay writers, or pay them badly or late or mess them around all the while expecting them to work mad hours so they can’t work on anything else - you’re going to end up with only writers who can afford to do this - I.e. posh writers who have family wealth
Proud to have signed this open letter from playwrights and theatre writers condemning the attacks on the @freedom_theatre and demanding freedom for producer Mustafa Sheta, youth trainer Jamal Abu Joas and all Palestinians who are under attack right now #FreePalestine
