What is so bananas about an article arguing that Canada needs even more government involvement to improve its economy is that, by many key metrics, the government's economic footprint is the largest it's been in 25 years. Employment, CAPEX, Consumption, and Taxes are just a few examples I've shared in the chart below. What does Canada have to show for it? A Productivity Emergency. Anemic private-sector CAPEX. Pitiful competition in Banking, Telecoms, and Transport. Net FDI Outflows. A 30-year low in R&D spend. Business birth collapse. Zero Equity IPOs. NYMBYs. Impact Assessments. Ethnic vetos. Mushrooming manufacturing regulations. Withering economic freedom. Censorship. Mass media bias. Historic hospital wait times. It goes on and on and on. Canada's problem is NOT a lack of government; it is that there is way too much government involvement. They pick winners, punish productivity, suppress talent, scare away what moves, tax what doesn't and squander billions; it's everywhere and in everything. And the results? abysmal. It may be time for a different approach.

“Forestry is turnkey.” As Kim Haakstad told @HotelPacificoBC, getting logs flowing and permits in hand could get BC’s forest sector moving quickly. The opportunity to supercharge the sector is here. Let’s get to work. 🌲 🎧 Hear the full conversation on at @airquotesmedia #BCForestry #Forestry #bcpoli #ForestryIsASolution

@ExnerPirot You need to follow her if you want to understand what rational energy policy in Canada looks like. This isn’t a Liberal v Conservative thing. It’s a science & economics thing. We have to stop going backwards as a nation become meme-level NGO green thinking dominates in Ottawa. The future is brighter with facts.
The realities of renewables in cold, dark locations. “Yukon Energy planned to connect a $35-million Whitehorse battery-storage system to the grid this year, describing it as “crucial” for improving grid stability. But the batteries froze during last December’s cold snap after generators that had been keeping them warm failed… Energy think tanks, such as the Pembina Institute, promote adoption of renewable generation throughout the North to replace diesel generators. But the Yukon government says it has already reached the limits of its ability to incorporate renewables. Mr. Laking said the territory’s solar facilities actually drew more power than they generated during the cold snap, owing to the energy used to heat them.” theglobeandmail.com/business…

Vancouver’s new Green Party mayor, Pete Fry, is looking to bring back restrictions on natural gas in new buildings. Fry’s 2026 election platform includes a pledge to reinstate the city’s natural gas ban as part of a broader effort to reduce emissions from new housing. The move would reverse the direction taken under former mayor Ken Sim, whose council voted in May 2026 to roll back restrictions on natural gas in new developments. The Green Party also plans to restore Vancouver’s Sustainability and Climate Office, expand access to solar energy and support cleaner building technologies. The proposed changes could reignite debate over energy choice, construction costs and Vancouver’s climate goals. Should new buildings be allowed to use natural gas, or should Vancouver prioritize electrification? 👇 Source: Green Party of Vancouver, 2026 Election Platform #Vancouver #NaturalGas #EnergyPolicy #BritishColumbia #DebunkInc

🐄💩🌎🔥 : Malaika Collette wants the Carney government to spend $1 billion, on a youth climate corps. 🤑 Climate activism is actually about paying unremarkable youth huge sums of money, to grift off climate change indefinitely. 🇵🇸 As we all saw with Greta Thunberg, it doesn't take these activists long to shroud themselves in every woke cause, they can latch onto.

🏫🌩️🌧️🤷‍♀️ : Shana Quesnel says the quite part out loud. She went to University & now is struggling because she took courses that gave her no in demand job skills. 🤡 Shana wants pipe fitters, miners, truckers & factory workers to pay taxpayer funded salaries for her & her friends, so a new $1 billion Youth Climate Corps can tell those hard working taxpayers, they're destroying the planet. 🪧 This is what happens when youth go to Universities, not for career training, but for activism indoctrination. 🏪 Shana is desperate because things aren't working out the way she hoped they would & is forced to work 2 part time jobs.

You are an old man way past his prime. It is time you walked off into the sunset. Your band members are rising up and speaking. They want the Indian act terminated. They want to own their own land and to be able to build businesses with their own assets. They want full equality for the first time in generations. And WE agree with them and support them. You are a relic. You and the white grifters and NGOs are going to be pushed out to pasture. Get used to it. It is baked in. Nothing you can do will stop what is coming.

Indigenous people: this man claims to represent you, and he is telling the non-indigenous people of BC that his mission is to make us all poorer. Him and his poisonous ideology is why we are at each other's throats. Please, throw him out, and find a leader who actually wants to see us get along and build a future together.

This headline is so sensational and misleading and embarrassing for the CBC. You’re Canada’s taxpayer-funded public broadcaster for god’s sake, exercise some judgement. “Proposed data centre would release ‘23 Hiroshima-sized atomic bombs worth of energy’ a day, physicist says” cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/…
