🚨 BLACK DAY FOR DEMOCRACY IN PAKISTAN! AN ELECTED GOVERNMENT SUSPENDED. ELECTED LEADERS ILLEGALLY ABDUCTED. DEMOCRACY UNDER SIEGE! The reported suspension of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s democratically elected PTI government and provincial assembly marks a grave assault on Pakistan’s constitutional order. Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and other elected PTI leaders have reportedly been ILLEGALLY ABDUCTED BY FASCIST FORCES, amid allegations of military-backed repression under Field Marshall Asim Munir. 250 MILLION PAKISTANIS DESERVE DEMOCRACY, NOT UNDECLARED MARTIAL LAW! 🌍 THE WORLD MUST NOT REMAIN SILENT! And stop Pakistan from going in to a civil war like situation due to military occupation. The United States, European Union, United Kingdom, and all democratic nations must condemn this fascist action and demand: • Immediate restoration of democracy, elected provincial government and constitutional rule. • Immediate release of all unlawfully abducted political leaders and protesters. • An end to military interference, political persecution, and suppression of peaceful dissent. • Suspension of security cooperation enabling repression until constitutional democracy is restored. 🇺🇸 U.S. CONGRESS MUST STAND FOR DEMOCRACY AND CONSTITUTIONAL RULE IN PAKISTAN! No general is above Pakistan’s Constitution. Pakistan belongs to its people, not its military. Congress must condemn repression, demand constitutional rule, and review U.S. assistance enabling abuses. SILENCE ENABLES TYRANNY! @POTUS @SecRubio @RepMcGovern @TLHumanRights @RepRoKhanna @RepGregoryMeeks @HouseForeignGOP @RepJoeWilson @RepSuhas @RepHuizenga @RepJayapal @RepRashida @RepKamlagerDove @BradSherman @RepMcCormick @repsmith @amnesty @hrw @freedomhouse @UNHumanRights @USCIRF @ryangrim @TuckerCarlson @ChrisVanHollen @MarkWarner @timkaine #BlackDayForDemocracy #Pakistan #HumanRights #Democracy #RuleOfLaw

They killed a 13 year old child on the streets. It really boils my blood when someone says "nobody is protesting". Your regime is literally killing people on the streets. Pakistan is not comparable to India, Serbia, Brazil etc. Their military is not killing people.

The move has not only stripped the PTI from power but has deprived the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa of political representation, leaving them ruled by a governor and technocrats who effectively act as military proxies - excellent reporting by Mehr Sher @musher_01 & @DropSiteNews #KPK #emergency #ImranKhan

🇵🇰 Imran Khan's last sister still outside prison has a warning: if anyone claims he's cut a deal with the government, DON'T believe it. Rubina Khan says her brother has been held in total isolation since December 2, 2025, while her 3 sisters sit behind bars. With deal rumors swirling, she says it would be "very convenient" for someone to announce one on his behalf while all 3 are locked up. She also accuses the government of trying to kill him behind bars by withholding urgent medical treatment, despite an August Supreme Court order to move him to hospital. Until the family can actually see him, she won't trust anyone claiming to speak for him. Source: Rubina Khan (FB) / Writer: Julie

Yes the same way Imran Khan is supported by youth and helped him get elected even when he was banned in Feb 2024, but they are called a highly vulgar slang!

The people of Pakistan voted overwhelmingly for a party, they went through hell to do so, they were kidnapped, tortured, their electoral signs taken away. The kind of rigging no previous election has seen. Yet they won. But you won't celebrate that. Why?
Lula’s win in Brazil and Serbia’s student-led electoral victory remind us that people-centred political power is possible. Pakistan’s student union ban has denied generations the space to imagine & organise for such possibilities.

Any government in Pakistan, elected or not, must act in the national interest. But the national interest cannot come at the expense of ordinary citizens' livelihoods, especially in a country where millions are already fighting to survive below the poverty line.

🇵🇰 Imran Khan’s 3 sisters have already spent OVER A MONTH behind bars, and Pakistan just found a way to keep them there until at least November 26. Punjab’s government has EXTENDED the detention of Aleema Khan, Uzma Khan and Noreen Niazi by ANOTHER 30 days, under a public order law normally aimed at people seen as threats to public peace. Their family asked a court to free them, but the judge threw the case out over a paperwork issue. Meanwhile, a terrorism court has pushed back its verdict against Aleema yet again, to November 26, the same day her detention ends. Whether that timing is a coincidence is anyone’s guess, but there are fears Aleema could be arrested again in the terrorism case as soon as her detention ends. 3 sisters with no political roles, held under one law until another can take over. Is this how justice works in Pakistan now? Sources: @WaqasAwan666, @writetofahim / Writer: Julie

These Patwaris & Faujeets keep taunting PTI supporters, claiming that Shehbaz Sharif has saved the world from World War 3, when my leader has been saying for the past eight years that war is not the solution. He never wanted to drag Pakistan into rented wars. He created strong resistance against such involvement, and that was a huge service to the nation. His sole focus was to give Pakistan and its people a dignified life, where the country could make its own independent decisions and free itself from the influence of Zionist interests. The Epstein files also proved that Imran Khan poses a significant threat to the interests of the US and Israel. And that is why he is in jail today. There is a reason why those who profit from wars have kept him behind bars for the past four years. Today, once again, it has been proven that my leader neither bowed down nor sent his people to their deaths, nor did he allow his nation to be humiliated before the world. InshaAllah, he will return once again, and this time, he will teach a lesson not only to the oppressors in Pakistan but to the entire world.

It takes some time, but eventually, Imran Khan is almost always proven right on the big things. He is the most powerful voice for peace, justice, and human dignity in the world at a time when all three are in short supply. There is a reason why those who want to cash wars have kept him locked up in a prison cell for the last 3+ years.
Imran Khan (July 2019): "I’m not sure whether all the countries realize the gravity of the situation if there’s a conflict with Iran. People don’t understand, you know, this is not going to be the same as Iraq. This could be much, much, much worse." Speaking at the US Institute of Peace in Washington DC, the then-Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan warned directly against a military conflict with Iran. Key excerpts from his address: • "...the Shia element in Islam is very cohesive. They have a much greater sense of martyrdom..." • "The battle might be quite short...bombing airfields and so on... But the consequences after that... not many people fully understand it." • "I would strongly urge that there should not be... another military situation... The last thing we want is another conflict on our borders." This should help the world understand why Imran Khan is in jail today. He stands with the oppressed, stands for sovereignty, and leads the Movement for Justice in Pakistan.

🚨🚨 Chief minister of #Pakistan’s most populous province #Punjab promoting an unlawful act/settlement of score, indirectly mob violence and encouraging out of court revenge. Scary and worrying!
This is a tight slap in the face of those entitled, spoiled brats who look down upon the poor as if they were lesser human beings. They arrogantly believe that money and power put them above the law, allowing them to exploit, intimidate, and act with impunity. Let me make one thing absolutely clear: As Chief Minister of Punjab, I stand firmly with the oppressed, regardless of how powerful their oppressors may be. No amount of wealth, influence, or political connections should enable anyone to escape accountability. Justice is not a privilege reserved for the rich and powerful; it is a fundamental right of every citizen. No one is above the law, and no victim should ever have to fight alone simply because the perpetrator has money or influence.

If a military dictator actually wanted to do good, he’d subject himself to the highest level of accountability, not lifetime immunity. Immunity is for those who want to ruin the country unchecked. Accountability is for those who genuinely want to build it.

FOUR YEARS WITHOUT ARSHAD SHARIF Four years ago today, on October 23, 2022, Pakistani investigative journalist Arshad Sharif was shot dead by Kenyan police outside Nairobi. Police called it a case of mistaken identity. Mr. Sharif, a prominent television anchor critical of Pakistan's military establishment, had left Pakistan in August 2022 after multiple criminal cases, including sedition charges, were registered against him. In December 2022, Pakistan's own fact-finding team concluded the killing was a "planned, targeted assassination" and said people in Kenya, Dubai or Pakistan may have been involved. Four years later, no one has been convicted. 🔹 In July 2024, Kenya's High Court ruled the shooting unlawful. 🔹 In July 2026, Kenya's Supreme Court declined to order prosecution of the officers. 🔹 Three men named in the criminal case remain at large. 🔹 In February 2026, the Federal Constitutional Court ended its oversight of the investigation, despite a written plea from his widow, Javeria Siddique, to keep it open. His late mother, who died in October 2025 still seeking justice, asked that senior military and intelligence officials be named in the case. They were not. Pakistan's military rejects any suggestion of involvement. If that is so, an independent and transparent investigation should be welcomed by all sides. First Pakistan Global calls on: ✅ Pakistan to make public the findings of the Special Joint Investigation Team ✅ Kenya to make a public charging decision on the officers involved ✅ Both governments to accept an independent international investigation, as Reporters Without Borders has urged ✅ @StateDept and Members of Congress to raise the case with both governments Impunity in this case sends a message to every Pakistani journalist who asks hard questions. #Pakistan: CPJ reiterates its call on Pakistani authorities to ensure justice for journalist Arshad Sharif and accountability for his killing through a transparent judicial process. #JusticeForArshadSharif @CMShehbaz, @PakPMO, @AzamNazeerTarar, @MIshaqDar50, @ForeignOfficePk, @PakinKenya
#Kenya 🇰🇪 CPJ urges Kenyan authorities to initiate criminal proceedings against police officers implicated in the deadly shooting of Pakistani journalist Arshad Sharif four years ago. Police initially said Sharif’s killing was a case of mistaken identity. However, subsequent investigations, including by the Pakistani government, raised questions about a narrative “full of contradictions, concluding that “assassination cannot be ruled out.” And while the courts have found the killing constituted a fundamental breach of constitutional rights, they have stopped short of directing criminal proceedings in the case, arguing this would constitute undue interference with independent prosecutorial authorities. The final domestic appeal in this case was dismissed by the Supreme Court in July 2026. Sharif’s case is emblematic of the fear experienced by exiled journalists in Kenya as cases of transnational repression rise. Failure to deliver justice for Sharif sends a message that no journalist is safe in Kenya. Read more: cpj.org/data/people/arshad-s…
