There's a time and a place for candy corn. That time is never and that place is the trash.

I don't know if it's any better over the pond. There is a dude who does "What I drink in a day" (Sandro Ford) that makes me hungover just watching his UK->Spain escapades.

RIP to the lost souls but that is one hilarious retrospective.

Imagine halting your bloodline because of talking-head-doomerism.

That realization sucks to transition through. The concept of your parent being perfect dissolving is as if god died.

It’s kinda crazy to me that we melt sand down, clean it to 99.99999% purity, literal wizards have to draw it slowly into an ingot, we cut it, inscribe a hundred billion little on/off switches on it, and when you run electric current through it you can do basic arithmetic, which when you do enough of it can do any math on the planet, and which describes reality well enough that we can teach it the ontological meaning of words and their distance from each other on a high-dimensional space, and if you ask, it can tell you what word comes next and that apparently is powerful enough that if you do it a hundred billion times it’s the smartest thing to ever exist oh yeah and we use this primarily for email

"Crap. We can't say that anymore. What about "We're the corporate Olive Garden?". Ooo, unlimited breadsticks but laggard salary. I love that"

Unless I'm working in an ER, working as a paramedic, or working as a firefighter, there's no reason I should be expected to "thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment." Just fix the terrible management and stop running your office like a circus.

I need to sit down after this comment. Good lord.

I would love to know where you live (and what you and your spouse makes) to make that a reality. It feels like an individual platitude that benefits no one other than your family.

Talking to LLMs about sleep is demoralizing. It’s a death march in continually telling it that you’ve done the obvious and it continually suggesting it.

Yes, it's also very common for our AWACS platform to perform SEAD/DEAD (/s)

I ended up buying a license because it's cool-as! Any chance you can integrate the fractal window feature from trelliswm.app? Combing both Shoji and TrellisWM fractal feature with be amazing.

You ain't getting 125MB/s on residential internet connection. TCP is 93% efficient on 1500 byte MTU so 930Mbps max (and that's assuming a wired connection for sustained). But you knew that and had us all fooled.

Crap book. You can't say there is no free will and then equally ask for a more compassionate society.
