Did you capture last night's stunning sunset? Or perhaps you're hoping to see tonight's full moon - known as the harvest moon? Share your autumn weather snaps using #LoveUKWeather to be in with a chance of featuring later! Thanks to @LisaMWilde and @FunkyAppleTree for these📷

Hello, Moon. It’s great to be back. Here’s a taste of what the Artemis II astronauts photographed during their flight around the Moon. Check out more photos from the mission: nasa.gov/artemis-ii-multimed…

THE ARTEMIS II ECLIPSE. April 6, 2026. Totality, beyond Earth. From lunar orbit, the Moon eclipses the Sun, revealing a view few in human history have ever witnessed. Photo: NASA

Earthset. The Artemis II crew captured this view of an Earthset on April 6, 2026, as they flew around the Moon. The image is reminiscent of the iconic Earthrise image taken by astronaut Bill Anders 58 years earlier as the Apollo 8 crew flew around the Moon.
Earthset captured through the Orion spacecraft window at 6:41 p.m. EDT, April 6, 2026, during the Artemis II crew’s flyby of the Moon. A muted blue Earth with bright white clouds sets behind the cratered lunar surface. The dark portion of Earth is experiencing nighttime. On Earth’s day side, swirling clouds are visible over the Australia and Oceania region.
In the foreground, Ohm crater has terraced edges and a flat floor interrupted by central peaks. Central peaks form in complex craters when the lunar surface, liquefied on impact, splashes upwards during the crater’s formation. Credit: NASA

"We can see the Moon out of the docking hatch right now. It's a beautiful sight." Flight day 3 is in the books, and our @NASAArtemis II crew is now closer to the Moon than to Earth. Check out highlights from our lunar mission. What’s been your favorite moment so far?

As we left Leighton Moss at sunset, Robin was minding the side gate and sang to us, demanding tribute. I offered exactly one whole blueberry, which was accepted, and we passed on towards home.

The "phase" of the airplane and the phase of the Moon match quite nicely. Good job!

The Tour de Fr today passed through the Bagnères towns in the Pyrenees. It went near Bagnères de Bigorre which is home to a memorial monument/sculpture to a famous Manchester physics discovery, a particle with 2 s-quarks, on top of nearby Pic-du-midi. Full details in my book.

A glancing blow! I've never tried to capture a plane fly through the Sun before despite thousands of photos and videos. Inspired by @mildthing99 @FunkyAppleTree who excel in these (or have too much time on their hands like me!) @StormHour @ThePhotoHour @MoonHourSocial #SunHour – at Sutton, London
