Why do we always react like this whenever a piece of art (books, movies, songs) depicts our sordid reality, either in terms of fraud, drug or any other social vices?
I really don’t think any Nigerian should indulge, review or endorse this book. We need to realise how much this stereotype further goes in how we are perceived as a nation. Pls by all means, the author can write his book but we don’t have to engage it and amplify it.

I think we should review materials like this genuinely. It could help us understand why we are viewed the way we are viewed by others. Most importantly, it might also help us view ourselves eye to eye and have a frank talk with one another. The yahoo menace should not be ignored. It is a real social problem.

Funny, the truth is bitter. You ruin people's lives and expect them to keep quiet. That's crazy. You can't hurt me and tell me how loud I should cry. @CarlosBarraganT, I would love to read your work.

We are taking this "Don't de-market Nigeria" thing too far. Frankly it's starting to feel very political rather than an actual concern for the country. xitter.cf/carlosbarragant/status…

I don't think we should continue to live in denial and suffer more reputational damage.

They will twist this post. Don’t worry.
Nigerians are special. People can’t afford food, yet every day someone is selling invest in US stocks. Have they eaten. Are they OK. Fish is expensive but it’s S&P 500 they should buy. Another one said guess gender and start gambling. Are you people alright at all.

Dragging people out of poverty isn’t magic, it’s access. Access to skills, fair pay, stable systems, and opportunities that actually lead somewhere. Liberation starts when people have options, not just survival.

The first ‘unhinged’ thing I did was after my internship in 2016. I refused to leave 😂. I kept showing up, asked to stay on part-time while in school, and did it for 18 months. That scrappy move turned into my first full-time dev role. Sometimes audacity > permission.✨

I got honored by a professional association in New York ❤️ They gave me a top award and one of the perks was that I would also appear on the billboard in Times Square. Of course I took a day trip to NYC to see it live 😂🥹✨

Hi women, can you post pictures or talk about your academic achievements? I need some motivation this month. If you see this tweet, share it so women can see it.

If you’re afraid of difficult conversations or uncomfortable with confrontation, then Quantity Surveying might not be the right profession for you. There are other roles within the construction industry that may be a better fit. But as a Quantity Surveyor, you cannot afford to shy away from difficult conversations, challenging negotiations, contractual disagreements, or defending your commercial position.
