Today the Islamic Republic executed another one of Iran’s brave sons. Ali-Sina Mostafavi was a mountaineer and a musician. The Islamic Republic took his life.
Ali-Sina Mostafavi climbed Everest and played the tar. On October 14, 2026, Mizan, the Islamic Republic’s judiciary news agency, announced his execution in Kerman. Published reports indicate that he was beaten during his arrest and subjected to forced confessions. Remembering his life—and the future taken from him. @IHRDC #DigitalBlackoutIran #iran_human_rights #iranmassacre #AliSinaMostafavi #StopExecutionsInIran

Disinfo accounts keep claiming that the Iranian regime didn't massacre protesters in Jan 2026. But some protesters are slowly making it out of Iran & are sharing what actually happened, like this protester who still has 100+ metal pellets in his body. iranwire.com/en/features/158…

Yet another reminder of the brutality of the Islamic Regime in Iran
Four years ago today, security forces in Iran unlawfully killed 87 protesters and bystanders from the persecuted Baluchi ethnic minority in Zahedan in what became known as “Bloody Friday” during the 2022 Woman Life Freedom uprising. amnesty.org/en/documents/mde… 1/2

HAW Daily Brief 1/3 Wrongfully Detained Iranian American Journalist Remains Jailed in Iran after 2 Years hostageaid.org/wrongfully-de… Washington D.C. - PBS The Trump administration has been engaged on Reza Valizadeh’s case now since all the way back to March of last year, when he was officially found by Secretary Rubio to be wrongfully detained. That puts this machinery within the hostage enterprise into motion. What I want for Reza and what Reza wants for himself is for the administration to prioritize it in the discussions with Iran. We shouldn't wait until the whole war is resolved and all our differences put aside. This should be the very first thing that's mentioned in the course of every engagement between the two sides, because it's the easiest to accomplish. @freerezav @FayheeRyan

Mahboubeh Shabani, a prisoner sentenced to death at Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad, was forcibly transferred from Aramesh Ward to solitary confinement on Monday, September 28, 2026. HRANA reported the transfer. That day, Sepideh Gholian, an activist and former political prisoner, wrote in a post on X that prison guards had told Shabani: “Because Trump has supported you, we will execute you.” Gholian also reported that the phones in Aramesh Ward had been confiscated. She described the prisoners as living in intense fear and anxiety and said the measure might extend to other security wards. In a voice message released from prison before her transfer to solitary confinement, Shabani said that her death sentence had been communicated to her lawyer. She warned of the danger facing political prisoners sentenced to death and appealed to the public and human rights organizations for help. Shabani, a 30-year-old civil engineer, was arrested in Mashhad on February 2, 2026. Reports have linked her case to transporting injured protesters to hospital on her personal motorcycle during the January protests. After spending a prolonged period in solitary confinement, she was transferred to the women’s ward. Branch One of the Mashhad Revolutionary Court, presided over by Gholamreza Akbari Moghadam, sentenced her to death on the charge of “operational action to strengthen Israel, the United States, and affiliated opposition groups.” @IHRDC #DigitalBlackoutIran #iran_strikes #iran_human_rights #iranmassacre #mahboubeh_shabani

Aren’t 25 years enough? Be Dawit Isaak’s voice & urge the EU & Sweden to take action. You just have to hit send: raoulwallenbergcentre.org/en… For Dawit, words were not enough to bring him home. What is missing is the political will to achieve results. Results that will see Dawit embrace his children, who have since become adults.

Impunity for crimes against humanity committed by Iranian authorities to crush the 2022 Woman Life Freedom uprising emboldened the authorities to commit further atrocities, culminating in January 2026 protest massacres of thousands. The cost of global inaction on international criminal justice has been devastating. People in Iran remain at high risk of recurring and escalating mass protest killings. Sign the petition to call on UN General Assembly to create an international criminal justice mechanism for crimes against humanity in Iran. 🔗 amn.st/6013BGpoqL

Tim was a kind and gentle soul. He was a pleasure to work with and he brought so much expertise and intellect to the work of @HostageAid. He will be dearly missed. 🤍
Last night I lost my dear friend, Tim Receveur, the kindest person I have ever known. Tim served his country in the U.S. Air Force and then in the Foreign Service at the State Department. We met at PeaceTech Lab after my release, and from that day he was by my side.

Hostage Aid deeply mourns the unexpected loss of our dear colleague and friend, Tim Receveur. Tim was one of the first people to join Hostage Aid and was a cornerstone of the organization’s growth. As Director of Digital Initiatives since 2023, he played a crucial role in developing Hostage Aid’s database, tools and systems that have become an integral part of our work. Tim brought intelligence, curiosity, dedication, and a sense of purpose to everything he did at Hostage Aid. The work he helped build will always be part of his legacy. He was always smiling. Always positive. Always ready to jump in and help whenever needed and he took genuine pride in any work he did. His loss is deeply and heartbreakingly painful. His absence will leave an irreplaceable void at the organization and in the lives of everyone who knew him. We will miss his big smile, sense of humour, his kindness, and his brilliant mind. Our hearts and prayers are with his wife, April and his children. Rest in peace, Tim. You will be deeply missed and will never be forgotten. Hostage Aid will not be the same without you.
