Putting his image on top of the text of the Declaration of Independence is so on brand. His ego over the very principles that this country was founded upon.

MAGA is not conservatism. Period. It is a radical reactionary movement built around authoritarianism, parochialism, and a cult of personality. Its economic policies also reject free-market principles in favor of dirigisme and protectionist tariffs that give the government a greater role in shaping the economy. The movement is a fragmented set of beliefs, heavily dependent on the whims of a man who may not be entirely in control of his faculties. The justifications and rationalizations offered for his policies and actions are baffling. I wrote an essay some time ago about why conservatives should vote Democratic. It isn’t aimed at the inevitable trolls who will flood the replies. It’s for conservatives who recognize that Republicans have failed them but are planning to stay home. Read the essay, and consider voting Democratic instead.. lminus1.com/a-conservative-c…

Trump tried to dispel the hecklers as paid protestors. He told one rally that a man was paid $250 to hurl invectives at him. The man yelled back, "I do it for free. I hatė you." I think this is a general consensus.

Trump is the most unpopular President in American history. The GOP has a 14% approval rating. If the Democrats don't get a clean sweep, then Elon Musk needs to be in prison.

We did it. We’ve finally reached the point where the right is defending the fucking Sith.
The Jedi actually deserved to go extinct. Their entire ideology is inherently antithetical to life itself. You’re not allowed to have attachments, show emotion, love anyone, be passionate about anything, or embody really any of the qualities that make a sentient living being a sentient living being. Anything that’s life giving is attacked for being associated with the Sith, who would otherwise be completely correct about everything if it weren’t for their over the top cruelty and cartoonish villainy. The entire core tenets of the Jedi Order almost perfectly match the late-stage liberal fantasy of a world where existential divisions are all papered over and everyone and everything is forcibly dissolved into a universalist soup managed by a supposedly apolitical priestly caste who wield absolute power while lying through their teeth about how they’re just defenders of democracy. And like all Liberal orders, the Jedi are so dogmatically committed to the false promise of universalism, neutrality, proceduralism, and “balance” (aka not taking your own side) that they can’t see any existential threats until it is far too late.

I concur with this post 100%. I admit to being a dupe who thought for 40 long years that 'conservative arguments' as described by Richard here were sincere and intellectually honest. It took less than 12 months of Trump 2.0 for too many racists in the GOP to out themselves. Sad!
I have finally cracked the mystery of Indian hate. For decades, conversations about race in America have gone like this. Liberals accuse conservatives of being racists, conservatives respond that they have non-racist reasons for their opinions. "No, I don't hate Mexicans, it's about the rule of law." "No, having more police isn't racist, in fact it helps black people the most." You can make an arguable case in each instance that conservatives had a point. This was our dialectic. Then the Indian came along. He's everything that conservatives have ever said they wanted in an immigrant: law-abiding, high-earning, family-oriented, legal, English-speaking, no terrorism or illiberal attitude. Here was an ultimate test that would show whether conservative opinions were ever based in reason. Conservatives not only failed to embrace Indians. They reacted with a fury to their existence that made all their previous prejudices look mundane. Imagine a woman who is attracted to toxic men but says she wants a nice guy. When she gets a nice guy who checks all the boxes, she hates him more than anyone else because he exposes her as engaging in self-delusion. His existence attacks her very identity. That's conservatives and Indians. The right wanted to believe that they had a political ideology that could appeal to smart, decent people. The conservative intellectual was always reverse engineering justifications to flatter the prejudices of chuds. Again, on most issues there was a plausibility to the arguments being made. Indians have exposed how fake the entire thing was. Conservative politics on a mass scale was rooted in stupidity and racism the whole time. Political scientists knew this already, but it's now become too glaringly obvious to deny, even for uninformed rightists themselves. There is nothing left for conservatives to do but give up on reason and embrace racial hate as their organizing principle. We should thank Indian immigrants, among all the other things they do, for providing this clarity. richardhanania.com/p/conserv…

It's assimilation. It is what was demanded. They did what we asked. Are we now moving the goalposts?
A Frisco, Texas city council meeting had the Boy Scouts open up the ceremony. Zoom in on the pic. All 13 Boy Scouts are Indian. Not a single White boy or any other race. This isn’t diversity, this is replacement.

This woman represents most Americans btw. “It’s hard for me to even believe that anyone continues to support the lunacy of the president. I can’t even say his name. He is outrageously demented. He is sick and he is on his mission about power and greed and corruption. It is truly disgraceful. And for Americans to not be able to see what is going on is truly shocking. All of his cabinet, they are all corrupt. It is just disgraceful.” This is how every American should feel btw. This administration will go down as the most corrupt, the most divisive and one of the worst in history.

This shit irritates me. They don’t have policies, they just have fake culture wars. Immigrants, Muslims, Trans, Gays, and Socialism are buzz words now. They just throw them around to fear monger Americans into believing we are about to be taken over by social extremist

Americans have never been this pessimistic about their finances: A record 41% of US consumers expect their financial situation to be worse over the next 12 months. This figure has more than tripled since Q2 2024. By comparison, during the 2008 Financial Crisis, this metric peaked at 23%. This proportion is also significantly higher than in the 1970s and the 1980s, when CPI inflation was above 10%. Furthermore, 31% of US consumers believe their personal financial situation will be worse in 5 years, double the proportion seen in the 1980s. Americans feel as though we are in a recession.
