Please retweet to help Dorothy find a home, currently in #ESSEX #UK Heartbreaking 💔💔💔 Saved from being killed in a British Council pound, by a small, home run rescue. 22 Oct 2026 'Yesterday gorgeous Dorothy joined us, another unclaimed stray from the pound - she is a very lucky girl as her pound puller put her into boarding to keep her alive after there was no rescue offers after the statutory 7 days. This is not normal, after 7 days if a dog isn’t reclaimed it can be euthanised. The sad reality is so many dogs loose their lives due to irresponsible owners discarding them like rubbish. We need to do better. We didn’t have space, I watched her and I couldn’t let her die so here she is 🥰 I know her chances of finding a home are slim as people just don’t want big dogs these days, but for now, she has made friends, settled on the sofa and enjoyed her McDonald’s breakfast, and I adore her big soppy nature. This poor pup is only seven months old and already in this sad position. She hasn’t had the best start, I can go into her story a little with any rescues that may be able to offer her a space rather than detail on her post. She’s a super sweet girl, still a pup with lots to learn but she’s very sweet. She is good with dogs out an about and has had some good assessments away from the kennels site, I am told she has been a bit stressed with a dog on the kennels site, but I also have footage of her playing with other dogs.
