I've seen this too many times. The Monkey Clan Bushi (L5R) who played pranks and told dad jokes slaughtering assassins in the middle of a night raid in our castle turned the whole session into a horror episode. He turned strait Rorschach while the rest of us were panicking.
Just a friendly reminder that I'm never going to post along a single consistent track. It's a spectrum ranging from shitposting to philosophical dissertations. I'm just here to enjoy the freedom to speak frankly that relative anonymity provides.
One of the things I enjoy the most about the Honorverse is the gradual technology development in the background. Over 5 books you see missile pods being mentioned as out of date, then reintroduced, then ships equipped with internal pod racks, and finally purpose-built pod ships.
Jason Isaacs was amazing in The Death of Stalin (it was great acting all around). It was almost another Patton. Yea, it wasn't historically accurate or whatnot, but man was it a fun watch.

Pathfinder 1e, they're 6th lvl. 1d3 rounds between mobs with a ghast miniboss at the end. It'll be a decent fight to raise their hopes before they get into the underwater undead dungeon.
I should have some time cleared next week to do my second round of changes to the Fallout TTRPG. I've got to sniff out a format for it as well.
That being said, I think after I finish that up I should finally look at writing down my old professional theories.
The Ukrainian War's a bit of a sore spot for me. Years of listening to bad takes and worse propaganda from both imagined and real experts made me more than alittle bitter about the state of the West as a whole and war theory in general.
I used to be an idealist, once and young.
Dude's fucked over every ally he's ever had. He's intentionally fucking Europe harder by going after Russian fuel. Now he's been caught with his hand in the cookie jar again.
If he stays in power post war, Ukraine's going to be a bigger problem for Europe than Russia will be.
So the Ukrainians actually hacked Starlink. They *were* using Starlink for offensive weapons and found some sort of workaround that was closed by a regular software update.
And now Zelenskyy is claiming that the "slowdown has stopped" even though Musk is now on-record as saying, explicitly, that the civilian grade Starlink system is still not authorized for weapons use?

When I PCSed to Hawaii, I got to stay in Navy lodging on Ford Island. One morning I went outside to smoke and one of these fuckers had magically appeared in the bay overnight.
You can't overestimate American techno-nerdery. They'd invent a new color if they could weaponize it.
There's a subset of expert that have to have bookshelves behind them while on video or in pictures. I'd bet money 99% of those books have never been read.
