"Eventually, Mansoor succumbed to a malicious email attachment, which sent all of his private data to a computer server registered to PO box 5151 in Abu Dhabi: the postal address of Sheikh Tahnoon’s personal office. He later found out that his baby monitor had also been hacked, turning it into a camera and microphone that captured every moment of his family life. He was arrested again in 2017, subjected to a secret trial, and convicted of insulting the “status and prestige of the UAE and its symbols, including its leaders”. Sentenced to 10 years in jail, he has remained in solitary confinement in al-Sadr, the maximum-security jail"

Maybe pannick got distracted with UK lawyers for Israel crap and took his eye off the ball on this.
It has been described as sport's 'trial of the century'.
The Premier League's case against Manchester City has taken more than three years, cost tens of millions of pounds and has featured the UK's finest legal minds.
In the Premier League's corner has been Adam Lewis KC, one of the founding fathers of sports law and the organisation's go-to lawyer.
Manchester City's defence has been led by Lord Pannick KC, who is arguably the UK's most distinguished barrister and has become so famous that his appointment prompted City fans to display a banner reading: 'Pannick on the streets of London'.
These are the people who fought - and will continue to fight - one of football's highest-profile legal cases.

🗣️ Carlo Ancelotti: "To try and have one identity for your team is a limit."
"We played a game in the Champions League against Shakhtar Donetsk. Very good team, Roberto De Zerbi was their coach. What he was doing with full backs, and different positions, really good."
"But I said to my players, they want you to press. Don’t press. If you press they will pass the ball around you. Don’t press, and they will give the ball to you. We didn’t press – and we won 5-0.”

imagining the timeline where america agrees to assemble an international court of islamic jurists to try bin laden after 9/11 instead of invading afghanistan
Replying to @Da_Wood_

After 9/11, Mullah Omer put three alternatives on the table.
- Give us your evidence against Osama bin Laden. Afghanistan’s Islamic court will examine it and decide.
- Establish an Islamic court of respected jurists and ulema from across the Muslim world, and let Bin Laden stand trial before them.
- Whichever Muslim country hosts him during the trial must be guaranteed protection from American political, diplomatic or military pressure. Give us those guarantees.
Washington accepted none of them.

There’s no coming back from this for the UK. Britain is Israel’s ally no longer. It has become an enemy of the Jewish people, a threat to the west and a menace to civilisation.

It's certainly worth reinstuting the diplomatic and financial pressures that made the Oslo Accords possible, but you still have to reckon with the fact that the Israeli signatory was murdered 37 days after signing it: despite it being an enormous win for Israeli expansionism.
Rudoni and Sorba both now in the PL (Turton and Koroma in league 2)
