It’s going to take time to sort through what happened Tuesday. But I've read a lot of takes the past few days (some good, many bad), and I've had a lot of people ask how I won one of the toughest districts in the country by over 13%.

If there was ever a time for a REAL alternative populist-left party to form- it would be right now. The Democrats are going to have to pivot right to survive, and doing so will not win them elections. There is a power vacuum here.
This is straight up BS… Biden was the most-pro worker President of my life time- saved Union pensions, created millions of good paying jobs and even marched in a picket line and some of MVP’s plans would have fundamentally transformed the quality of life and closed the racial wealth gap for working people across this country. From the child tax credits, to 25k for a down payment for a house to Medicare covering the cost of senior health care in their homes. There are a lot of post election takes and this one ain’t a good one.

I've tried to approach this election unflinchingly & w/ clear eyes, but this is the absolute worst case scenario.
We're in an epochal shift in American history of the worst sort, &, while it does not spell the absolute end of Amer liberal democracy, MAGA is a fatal illness. 1/

I’m impressed by people who can shift immediately into voter-analysis mode. I’m still really upset and it’s hard to think about the situation in a clinical way. A once-sacred 20th century postwar American ideal has been aggressively rejected by voters in favor of god knows what.
