On this special day, I extend my warmest greeting to all Sri Lankans at home and around the world. Independence is more than a moment in history. It is a living commitment to unity, resilience, and hope. Over the years, both Sri Lanka and Israel have overcome many challenges. This spirit of perseverance and determination is something that connects our nations and peoples and inspires us to keep moving forward. Israel deeply values its friendship with Sri Lanka. Our relationship is built on mutual respect, warm ties between our peoples, and growing cooperation in many fields. As you celebrate this important day, I wish Sri Lanka continued peace, prosperity, and success. Happy Independence Day, Sri Lanka.

මේ විශේෂ දිනයේදී ලොව පුරා වෙසෙන ආදරණීය ශ්රීලාංකික ජනතාවට මගේ උණුසුම් සුභ පැතුම් පිරිනමන්නෙමි. නිදහස යනු ඉතිහාසයේ එක් නිශ්චිත මොහොතක් පමණක් නොවේ. එය එකමුතුව, ධෛර්යය සහ බලාපොරොත්තු එක්වුනු ජීවමාන සාක්ෂියකි. ගතවුනු කාලවකවානු තුළ ශ්රීලංකාව සහ ඊශ්රායලය යන දෙරටම අභියෝග රැසකට මුහුණ දී ඒවා සාර්ථක ලෙස ජය ගැනීමට සමත් විය. ඒ සදහා හේතුවුන අධිෂ්ඨානශීලී බව සහ උත්සාහය අත් නොහැරීම යන ගුණාංගයන් අපේ රටවල් දෙකත් , ජනතාවත් සම්බන්ධ කරන ආත්මයයි. එය අපව අඛණ්ඩව ඉදිරියට ගෙන යන ගාමක බලවේගයයි

As a right-wing Hindu social media influencer, I have always extended my unconditional support to Israel whenever Israel needed it.
But if this kind of racism, hatred, and disrespect is what we receive in return, then, for the sake of our religion and community, we must seriously reconsider our position as influencers.
This is not freedom of speech. This is pure racism and hatred.

We mourn the loss of two IDF soldiers who fell during combat at the Judea Junction:
🕯️ Staff Sergeant Ron Yonatan Roytman, 23, from Ashkelon, a squad commander.
🕯️ Sergeant Yuval Shai Svilem, 20, from Hod Hasharon, a combat soldier.
Both served in the Ari Battalion (775), Search and Rescue Brigade.
Our hearts are with their families and loved ones.
