I know it's easy to be doomer about AI but it needs to be stressed.
They had to LIE that they weren't using it AT ALL to get any of these VTubers on board. It was an IMMEDIATE dealbreaker. No ifs, ands or buts.
That's the public reputation of AI. A dirty and shameful liability.

Huge red flag, they'll 100% let AI assets slip into the game and use the same excuse as everyone else when they get caught, they've already set it up.
Also, it's a huge middle finger to artists. Will absolutely never play this.

This is why it’s wrong for a studio to use gen-AI IN ANY WAY.
It can start as a simple “tool” used to speed development, but if that doesn’t crash and burn, executives quickly get starry eyed about what else it could do.

Max H described being called into a meeting and fired with no prior warnings.
They company cited efforts to improve efficiency and reduce costs by switching to AI for all translations.

I am begging people to understand that ideation is the last thing you want to outsource to the AI slop machine. GenAI does not produce original ideas; real, living artists do. Hire concept artists for your preproduction work.
