Pick one industry and go so deep you understand their business better than they do. When I started in 2015, I didn’t sell “Facebook ads.” I sold signed cases to mass tort lawyers. Same ads as everyone else, but I learned intake, retainers, and what a case is actually worth to a firm. Agencies sell clicks. Lawyers buy outcomes. Then I gave the playbook away. I wrote a book that showed anyone how to do it. It made me the guy who wrote the book, and it grew my business tenfold. The ads aren’t the differentiator. Knowing the client’s world is.
