All Canadians were outraged that President Trump used tariffs to protect American jobs. Meanwhile, the Carney Liberals removed the requirement for employers to consider Canadian applicants first before hiring foreign workers and... crickets! Putting foreign workers ahead of Canadians is not “Elbows Up.” It’s an elbow to the chin of our own people. Common sense = Canadians First for Canadian jobs! #cdnpoli #CPC #CanadaFirst

Tomorrow's First Reading—Mark Carney's evil regime world tour "Both Qatar and Turkey are autocracies. Qataris have been subject to the executive rule of a hereditary monarch ever since independence in 1971. Turkey is a relative newcomer to autocratic rule, thanks to an all-out crackdown on political opposition by Erdogan. Both countries have problems with modern slavery. According to the keepers of the Global Slavery Index, Turkey has as many as 1.3 million individuals “living in modern slavery.” When Qatar hosted the World Cup in 2022, several rights organizations published reports alleging that venues had been constructed by migrant forced labour. And the newest thing Qatar and Turkey now share in common is that in 2026 they both received their first bilateral visit from a sitting Canadian prime minister." @tristin

Well, there goes another well-established media narrative
Not at all surprising. In my five years as Immigration Minister, we consistently found that all of our challenging reforms* were supported by immigrants more than people born in Canada. * Reforms like: - Eliminating a backlog of 700,000 PR applications - raising the bar for selection under the points grid, including for English / French language proficiency - overhauling the asylum system that reduced new claims by 80% - imposing visas on major source countries for asylum claims; - imposing a waiting period before foreign sponsored spouses could obtain PR to crack down on marriage fraud - raising the bar to obtain citizenship with much more robust language and knowledge tests based on our Discover Canada citizenship guide, and adding a year to the residency requirement; - revoking citizenship from thousands of people who had obtained it fraudulently; - stopping applications for the parents & grandparents sponsorship program; - ending the live in caregiver program; - ending the widely abused Investor Immigrant Program; - overhauling the Temporary Foreign Worker Program that reduced intake of low skilled TFWs by 85%; - removing federal health benefits from rejected asylum claimants; - increasing resources for CBSA to increase & accelerate deportations, etc.. - reforming the Multiculturalism Program to focus on integration & civic literacy rather than divisive critical race theory; Many of these reforms elicited the usual charges of racism from the left, and many were opposed by the business community as being too restrictive. But consistently we saw super majority support amongst new Canadians for these and other tough measures.

The Globe and Mail may want to mention that the poll was done by a pro immigration lobby group. This is 100% propaganda.

One would thinks she would be thrilled to appear before the committee to sell and boast about her vision for this initiative. After all, there’s a lot of Canadian taxpayers’ dollars at play here.
If Carney has nothing to hide, why did he order his MPs to shut this investigation down. This is exactly why Conservatives fought to keep oversight committees of the House out of Liberal control.

Leadership. This is awesome.
The CEO of Canada’s sixth-largest bank wants Ottawa to throw out the entire tax code and write a new one within a year. Laurent Ferreira says the goal should be making Canada the “simplest, most efficient and most competitive tax jurisdiction of all developed countries.” 🧵👇 (1/8)

A new poll on immigration from the Environics Institute finds that first-generation Canadians and non-white Canadians have stronger opinions against immigration than white Canadians and third-generation+ Canadians. 63% of first-generation Canadians and 60% of non-white Canadians think too many immigrants are not adopting Canadian values. 57% of first-generation Canadians and 54% of non-white Canadians think that many refugee claimants are fake.

Repeal the Liberal tanker ban. Let’s get shipping oil by rail to Prince Rupert in the next two years. It will boost our paycheques, our dollar, and our economic independence.
Alberta supports Conservative MP David McKenzie’s Bill C-264 to repeal the federal Oil Tanker Moratorium Act and remove barriers preventing our responsibly produced energy from reaching global markets. Repealing the ban would open the door to crude-by-rail exports through Prince Rupert, giving Alberta another route to reach customers around the world. Our oil to the United States is selling at a significant discount at a disadvantage to the entire country. The only effective way to close that gap is to increase exports off our western coast and get more customers competing for our energy. For decades, limited access to tidewater has left Alberta heavily dependent on a single customer, putting our oil at a competitive disadvantage and reducing the value of our resources. The Trans Mountain Expansion has helped open new markets, particularly in Asia, but we need more pipelines and more access to tidewater. Pacific Link will help increase our export capacity, but we also need to remove the federal tanker ban to unlock opportunities through Prince Rupert. Global demand for energy continues to grow, and Alberta has the resources to help meet it. Alberta holds the fourth-largest proven oil reserves in the world, and developing those resources benefits all Canadians. They help fund hospitals, schools, critical infrastructure and social programs across the country, while creating long-term economic opportunities for Indigenous communities through investment and co-ownership in major projects. Canada cannot become a global energy superpower while federal policies continue to stand in the way of getting our energy to the world. Repealing the tanker ban is an important step toward securing better prices for our resources and building a stronger, more prosperous Canada.

Mark Carney’s European friends do not want him at their table.
Mark Carney says that he's making lots of friends around the world. But what use are those friendships if his new "friends" actively work against his policy goals?

Strathcona Resources is proposing to ship up to 250,000 barrels of Canadian oil a day by rail to Prince Rupert and then on to overseas markets. Only one thing stands in the way: Mark Carney's tanker ban. Let’s create more 🇨🇦 jobs, get better prices for our resources, and be less dependent on the U.S. by voting YES to Conservative MP @DMcKenzieCPC's bill on Wednesday to scrap the tanker ban and put Canada first.
