A shujaa isn’t always celebrated or remembered by name. Sometimes, it’s the sacrificing parent, the believing teacher, the neighbour who shows up, or the child who stands up to bullying. 🇰🇪 Our heroes are ordinary Kenyans doing extraordinary things #MashujaaDay2026 #OlooluaRising
The last time a lawyer was abducted in a similar fashion, they murdered him. So it's that serious #FreeAbshir
Where is Abshir Abdi?
Are Kenyans safe in their own country? VOCAL Africa visited the site of the Nairobi advocate's abduction, witnessing the exact spot where he lost control of his vehicle.
While the police chief maintains that citizens are safe, this alarming incident calls that entire claim into question.

Formally dispute the bill at their offices. If they fail to address the dispute, lodge a complaint with EPRA. I’ve successfully pursued this process on behalf of my clients so I know it works.

This conversation must be had.
Judicial officers have in several occasions “forgiven” senior police officers found guilty of contempt. This has created a culture where the Inspector General of Police and those under his command feel they can violate court orders and will be forgiven anyway.
I have always urged the judiciary to take seriously violation of its orders especially by state operatives because these operatives have a default setting to disregard court orders.
If the judiciary gives the devil an inch on several occasions, there should be no surprises when that devil takes several miles.
The judiciary must come up with strict sentencing guidelines against state contemnors because that is the only way to enforce respect for the rule of law.

Ksh 12,000 compensation against an estimated Ksh 147,000 repair costs.
Another one had to abandon his fish rearing after the cages were destroyed. He only got Ksh 22,000.
These are silly games for such a consequential project, no?

Working alongside a sociologist completely reshaped my engineering practice by exposing the social license to operate, something rigid technical modeling ignores. This latest unprovoked police blunder is a prime example of institutional incompetence. Community trust is lost here.

This exact absurdity proves why @ntsa_kenya has no business setting speed limits on highways. When regulators arbitrarily slap blanket caps on multi-lane highways, you get traffic crawling artificially at 80 across every single lane, destroying highway throughput & lane discipline
