Public-interest infrastructure on ICP. We track where trust, funding & cloud control fail - and show what verifiable systems could do better.

Joined May 2026
Every day, critical systems ask us to trust someone: the data, the software, the cloud, the funding. We ask three questions: - Who can verify it? - Who can change it? - Who can switch it off? We build on internet-computer:native because those questions deserve provable answers, and infrastructure that can deliver this.

Ive spent 40 years working in IT. I also have a working application on ICP. There are many use cases for this platform and if you can't see that, thats your problem.

thats because ICP is the only blockchain-based tech that has a relevant use case outside of the blockchain industry.

The only thing $ICP truly needs is builders deploying meaningful products on top of it and companies adopting cloud engines. It will take time because this is still a new technology. But I believe adoption will come eventually, and $ICP will become more widely adopted than any other blockchain out there. So stop staring at price charts and start thinking about how you can contribute real value to the ecosystem.

NEAR just need to cooperate with DFINITY. Moving their FAR stuff onto a Cloud Engine should do the trick. We should all be working together for the good of decentralisation - we don't need one chain to rule them all. @ilblackdragon, there's a lot that both networks could achieve together.
— 🚨 📉 near:native is free-falling into the abyss, crashing through bottom after bottom! Investors are in a total panic: amid terrifying allegations of stealing tech from @dfinity , people are desperately dumping assets, triggering a catastrophic NEAR collapse! 😱💥

There is great progress behind the scenes, but in the business world, especially with governments, things take time because its done thoroughly and by respecting everyone's requirements. Rome wasn't built in a day :)

Studies show it’s a Web2 company with a token. So what's left of the Web3 narrative besides the marketing?

$ICP pilots its tech with the UN and sovereign countries, while $NEAR larpers have their little moment. Show them real facts and they still can't take the veil off. I've always advocated for cooperation, but this industry is rotten to the core. axios.com/2026/08/25/un-sove…

Looking back, the playbook is painfully obvious. @ilblackdragon was already sniffing around in 2021, trying to figure out how to copy the tech. The receipts are still there. $NEAR xitter.cf/ilblackdragon/status/1…
Wait is there actually a paper on Chain Key? @dfinity @dominic_w forum.dfinity.org/t/canonica… forum.dfinity.org/t/chain-ke… Everyone is asking, nothing actually provided. Nothing on dfinity.org either.

No registry of node operators, not open source, I mean.. this sounds like entirely fake decentralization. Confidentiality requires decentralization, but it's also not clear that there's any confidentiality tech involved anyway. Turtles all the way down..

This is craazy. I asked one of our PhD engineers to look into NEAR *Confidential* Intents wondering how they designed their system. Unredacted, word-for-word, this was his answer 😱😱😱 "Everything I found out about the privacy claims and confidential intents is so bad that it seems almost comical and I cannot believe what I am seeing. Apparently they run a completely separate instance of the protocol, which is called FAR (as an opposite to NEAR), and that has a permissioned operator set. The entire confidentiality claim seems to rest upon the fact that it is a permissioned chain and the nodes are trusted to keep things private, there doesn't seem to be any deep technology behind it and it also does not seem to be open source. The entities running the nodes are also not publicly known. I almost feel weird writing this because it is so absurdly bad that it feels like ... I don't know ... a simulation? I know the usual level of overpromising in Web3 but this is so many levels beyond believable that it still feels unreal."

The most consistent explanation seems to be that FAR is a separate permissioned chain and the confidentiality comes from validators pinky promising not to look at the data. But that just cannot be true. It would be totally pathetic. I cannot even find who the validators are.

Frens from NEAR, can you give me some context about FAR, like: - what protocol does it run (docs say PoA) - where's the code - who's running the nodes - who's running the private relay - can I validate the private relay (SEV/TGX?) - who controls the key holding the funds on NEAR

Nice 🔥 This illustrates how you can build true cryptographic privacy on top of the Internet Computer. There are lots of privacy narrative protocols these days where operators have backdoors, or which rely on weaker hardware-based privacy (TEEs). Here, performance + real privacy
The wait is over shielded $ICP is now live. Every transaction is private, even from the node providers running the network. Your send history, balances, and activity stay protected. We built it to go beyond SEV’s limits, using pure cryptography so proofs are generated in your browser and verified on-chain without exposing anything. $BTC is coming next. $ICP #Privacy #ZK #InternetComputer

With cloud engines, apps run without cycles, and now, deploying to the shared Internet Computer subnets will be a breeze too. Agents can show users QR codes, so they can pay with their credit cards, avoiding token friction. ICP is becoming mainstream agentic infrastructure.
icp-cli 1.7.0 is out, with a new command: icp cycles buy Pay by card right from your terminal: scan the QR, pay on Stripe, and the cycles land in your Cycles Ledger account seconds later. internet-computer:native Watch it below, or try it yourself: icp cycles buy --amount 1 -n ic

MIEPS on $ICP continues to climb 📈 MIEPS (Millions of Instructions Executed Per Second) measures the actual useful work a blockchain performs and is one of the most meaningful performance metrics available. Right now, a single ICP subnet is more compute-intensive than Avalanche, Ethereum, NEAR, Cardano, and Solana combined. That’s just one subnet — ICP currently runs 42 of them.

quick rundown on what Sneed DAO is and does
Thank you so much! How to get into Sneed...where to begin? 😀 The lore: when SNS1 launched a bunch of builders saw it as a good way to share an SNS for DAO control of canisters (as an alternative to blackholing) for community projects. When SNS1 became DKP some of us started Sneed DAO as a replacement for that idea. Since then we have been building and hosting things the community has come up with. Like SNS1 it is a blank canvas DAO, you're welcome to build or suggest pretty much anything. If some project manages to pull in some funds to the DAO, they are distributed to members using our "Recursive Liquidity Loop" infrastructure - in short Sneed pioneered the concept (from day 1, way before we were an SNS) of 1) setting up a solid LP 2) taking the ICP rewards from the LP and sending to an 8 year (now 2 year) neuron 3) use the ICP rewards from the neuron to buy back Sneed from DEXes 4) burn and distribute the bought back Sneed to members. Any revenues from Sneed products are feed into this loop. Examples of stuff members have built so far: Sneed Lock - permissionless time locking for tokens and ICPSwap LPs! "Liquid Locking" allows the locks themselves to be traded like NFTs while the tokens/LPs remain locked inside! app.sneeddao.com/sneedlock Unicycle - Canister cycle monitoring and auto-topup tool (excellent support for SNS DAOs where it can auto-send treasury props for refills when needed) ic-unicycle.com/ Swaprunner - DEX aggregator that is no longer useful because Kong folded so now it only "aggregates" ICPSwap. Deprecated, but it had its hay day... For games, we have the on-chain Arcade Classic Outrun, running in your browser (bring your own ROM)! Supports modern extensions like multiplayer, police chases and weapons. outrun4ever.com Most stuff, however (including Sneed Lock) is on our main dapp, called Sneed Hub: app.sneeddao.com/ There you can find lots and lots of info about our DAO as well as other SNSes, and a plethora of products, services, features... There are forums and polls for every SNS, with tipping, where you get up/down voting power from your hotkeyed neurons. Each SNS proposal gets its own discussion thread! Open for permissionless integration, TACO DAO also uses our forum for the forum on their website, users can see and reply to posts from both site on either site. There is a direct PID-PID messaging system, with message trees and multiple recipients. There is the Sneed Naming Service for assigning public names to PIDs and Neurons (only owners can assign names) as well as private nicknames (anyone can assign but only they can see). Integrated in our SNS/ICP proposal display pages so you can easily see who submitted a proposal. There is a wallet which supports tokens, ICPSwap LPs, ICP and SNS Neurons, dApps/Canisters, Sneed Locks, collecting your RLL rewards, you name it. You get notifications for all new proposals to your hotkeyed DAOs and see all new props in one handy page - and can even vote for them all in one go! There are info pages for every SNS. There are transaction explorers, DAO member and neuron explorers, again for every SNS, and canister managers (top up any canister with cycles, manage controllers and deploy WASM to canisters you control), There is Sneedex, the DEX for buying and selling whole canisters via escrow - public auction or private OTC offers - as well as selling batches of tokens, SNS neurons and Sneed Locks. There is a Jailbreak tool for setting the SNS neurons in your NNS Wallet free, so they can be traded on Sneedex. There is Sneedapp, the market place for on-demand minted canister dApps - currently offering the Sneed ICP Staking Bot that can manage an ICP Neuron on your behalf (allowing you indeed to trade the canister holding it on Sneedex) and the Sneed Trading Bot for automating trades. This is just some of what we have been up to so far ;) In addition we're working closely with other projects - ICPSwap for the LP locking, NTN and NeuronPool for Vectors that we use in the RLL, TACO DAO for forum and PID/Neuron name integration, Tendy/Delulu.DAO for delulu.game (based on the Sneed Mud project) and for sGLDT, the GLDT low-fee DeFi wrapper, as well as many other shenanigans. One of the things we love doing is creating infrastructure that is useful for all SNSes, not just ourselves. We're like a big, creative collective where everyone is welcome! Everything 100% on-chain of course. You should join us, we're doing quite a bit of useful stuff.
