Israelis heard three Druse speaking in Arabic in a Tel Aviv club. They beat them so badly all three were hospitalised. Now the Druse are protesting and blocking roads. Not least because all three were serving in the Israeli military. The Druse are drafted in Israel and often end up in elite formations.
It's quite remarkable that they were attacked in hyper liberal Tel Aviv. But it shows you where Israeli youths are politically. The older generation of politicians often refer to Druse as blood brothers. The younger generation is just rabid.

Elon is doing real reputational damage to himself, his products and American systems. These lies about the situation may be useful cover for the general population but national governments will not be pleased here. Consequences may take years to appear but it won’t be forgotten.

Elon Musk's statement about needing to have pity for Russian conscripts is the ultimate act of cynicism and hypocrisy.
If Elon wants the war to stop and Russian conscripts not to die, the thing to do is help Ukraine win as quickly as possible, rather than forcing Ukraine to sacrifice itself.
A Ukrainian victory is the only way to save the lives of the Russians Musk sympathizes with so deeply.

One way or another, he flat out lied
Elon has a problem here. He now claims Ukraine violated Starlink’s terms of service, and, implicitly, Elon throttled their Starlink connection. But several days ago, I thought Elon said he didn’t throttle Ukraine’s Starlink. He said only the president has the ability to do that. So this clearly wasn’t the reason that Ukraine was throttled 10 days ago, or Elon would have said so then. In fact, Elon appeared to deny all responsibility. So what was Elon’s reason? I guess my point is, he appeared to not be telling the full story then, so why should we believe him now?

So the trump regime’s bullshit about annexing Greenland or making Canada the 51st state were just shiny objects designed to distract from their true endgame: Giving Alaska to Russia. Putin’s installation of trump to destroy us from the inside has worked beyond his wildest dreams.
US energy company execs have resigned in disgust as the Trump family is caught secretly expediting the funneling of $25 billion from a sanctioned Russian energy giant in exchange for allowing Russians to obtain a natural gas project in Alaska.
According to investigations by The New York Times and Financial Times, Russia's Novatek allegedly concealed its financial involvement in the American project through a UAE-linked intermediary.
Gentry Beach, a longtime Trump ally and close friend of Donald Trump Jr., signed an agreement with Novatek to pursue natural gas development in Alaska. Reuters documented the arrangement in February.
Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin discussed this cooperation on the Alaska energy project with Trump's representatives, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, during negotiations involving Russia and Ukraine.
The controversy deepened when Polar Train LNG's CEO, Joel Riddle, raised concerns about concealed Russian financing and possible sanctions violations. He departed in September, followed by other senior executives.
The Financial Times also described discussions about a potential arrangement under which Novatek would provide technology for the Alaska project in exchange for sanctions relief benefiting its Arctic LNG 2 development in Siberia.
According to The New York Times, Riddle and two other departing executives warned the Trump administration about the Russian financing and urged officials to investigate.
The White House maintains that the project was mentioned only briefly and that no detailed discussions took place. There is no established evidence that Kushner or Witkoff knew about the allegedly concealed financing. Polar Train LNG denies wrongdoing.
The central question is how a sanctioned Russian energy company became involved in a major American energy venture while Putin was discussing potential economic cooperation with Trump's representatives and a longtime Trump family associate was pursuing a separate agreement with the same Russian company.
Selling Alaska to the Russians or selling Ukraine to the Russians - to the Trump family it's all the same.

This is plainly true even if conservatives are too dumb to understand. National defense requires not putting up with corporate spokespersons trying to blabber about “terms of service.”
This is mortal combat. Private industry isn’t allowed get in the way of our war effort.

I expect my husband to say yes to sex. Not every time, but most of the time.
But for some reason because I'm a woman..that expectation is reasonable.
But reverse it... if a man has an expectation that his wife says yes, most of the time that is seen as coercion and pressure.
EXPECTING your spouse to do their best to be sexually available, regardless if it's the woman or the man shouldn't be seen as anything but NORMAL.

Here is Elon admitting that the Starlink vs. Starshield distinction doesn't actually matter at all.
Replying to @FilmLadd
This is indeed one of the main reasons that Starlink must remain a civilian operation.
It can be used for infrastructure that is military, but it cannot be used for unequivocally offensive strikes that make it fair game to be struck back.
An adversary blowing up Starlink satellites would create a domino effect of destruction that would generate a vast field of debris making space unusable.

I find myself once again asking the question, why are two random real-estate developers negotiating all foreign deals on behalf of the United States government?
Why is Marco Rubio (US secretary of state) not the one doing the deals? I think this question will become important…

Zelenskyy is a Russian-speaking centrist who campaigned on a platform of normalizing relations with Russia. Putin declared war anyway because he thinks Ukraine is a fake and gay country that shouldn't exist. Somehow this makes Zelenskyy the fascist.

The sheer, staggering ego required to sit in Texas, cap satellite speeds mid-combat, and then publicly declare that an entire sovereign front line would "collapse immediately" without your personal permission is off the charts.
Ukraine's defensive lines aren't held together by the whims of a Silicon Valley CEO clicking buttons on X. They are held by hundreds of thousands of men and women enduring freezing trenches, incoming artillery, and relentless glide-bomb strikes with sheer grit, blood, and defiance.
To take billions in US defense contracts, unilaterally throttle active military networks mid-operation—disrupting the very drone interceptors protecting civilians from Russian attack drones—and then parade around on social media as the sole savior of a nation isn't diplomacy. It's pure megalomania.
You don't own the front line, Elon, and you aren't a sovereign state. Stop playing digital warlord while soldiers pay for your messiah complex with their lives.
Correct.
Using Starlink, a civilian commercial service, for offensive drone strikes to kill people has never been allowed, nor should it be.
Starshield, a different system, is controlled by the US government. What they decide to do is up to them.
Ukraine military violated Starlink terms of service and used it for offensive drone strikes to kill people. That loophole was closed last week.
Starlink remains critical to the defense of Ukraine, as it is the only system that cannot be jammed or blown up, at least for now. Were Starlink to be turned off, the Ukrainian front line would collapse immediately. This is NOT a threat, it is simply a statement of fact.
Starlink was also crucial to preventing Russia from overrunning Ukraine in the early days of the war, as all other means of communication were destroyed or jammed by Russia.
SpaceX has done more to defend Ukraine than any private company on Earth BY FAR.
That said, I have nothing but UTTER CONTEMPT for the virtue-signaling evil warmongers who push for endless slaughter and offer no realistic solution to the conflict. May you burn in hell.
End of story.

So wait, Musk did block Starlink, then went out denied it, literally pointed finger at US administration and the President as decision makers, then government debunked it and now 2 days later he says yes he did it and he has his reason. Wov. Just wov.. wild party at the island

I get how the trillionaire became a supervillain. Absolute power and all that jazz. But why is he such a moron. WTF was DOGE? He seems to have little by way of a vision for society.
Feels like a precipitous fall in oligarch quality, not just from Rockefeller but even the Kochs.

Elon's defense still confuses me. He is a military contractor. As such, he doesn't just "hand over" Starshield to the USG. He still runs it, but for the USG. So either the USG told him to throttle it last week, or he chose to throttle it on his own, in violation of the contract.
This is a confession to treason.
Elon Musk, a private individual and not an elected official, hijacked U.S. national defence policy to harm partner Ukraine and help enemy Russia.
