I will be interviewed by the PSNI today in relation to my participation in a peaceful protest at Garvaghy Road.
I will always stand up for what is right, and Sinn Féin fully supports the people of Garvaghy Road.

My aunt Eilís O'Connor (Bone) RIP and my dearest friend AnnMarie Quinn (Ballymurphy) in the yard in Armagh Gaol 50 years ago today.
We remember Eilís and all the remarkable, redoubtable Republican women prisoners who defied the might and violence of the British state.

I have received a letter from the PSNI relating to the peaceful protest on the Garvaghy Road and I will attend an interview in the period ahead.
Sinn Féin stood in solidarity with the residents of the Garvaghy Road to protect 28 years of peace.
Standing up for what is right is always the right thing to do.
Sinn Féin will continue to stand with the Garvaghy Road residents who should be allowed to live their lives free from sectarian intimidation, and with the people of the lower Ormeau road, who are also facing the threat of an unwanted march through their community.
There is no going back.
Not now. Not ever.

Sheena Campbell was murdered by the UVF assisted by British state forces in the York Hotel, Belfast 34 years ago today.
Sheena was a formidable opponent, a determined Sinn Féin activist of unsurpassed skill and tenacity.
They feared Sheena because they fear the future. RIP

Political unionism talking of violence, the only violence I see is that perpetrated on Nationalist community here on the Lower Ormeau Road where a memorial showing the faces of the five members of the community who were murdered here has been defaced, traumatising their families

Utterly despicable desecration of the Ormeau Rd Bookmakers Memorial. This comes five weeks after the last attack, which was in the context of the Orange Order seeking to march along the Garvaghy Rd. (The families have yet to hear from the PSNI regarding that last attack.) This latest attack comes as the Apprentice Boys now seek to walk the Ormeau Rd. Our thoughts are with the distraught families and injured who are left to pick up the pieces of this trauma. In this small beleaguered community of a handful of streets over 73 people have lost their lives to the conflict, the overwhelming majority in sectarian attacks involving state agents and collusion.

The North was designed so that we could never be in charge and unionism would always lead.
But change has happened and Sinn Féin are now the largest party in both council & assembly. The days of the orange state are gone, never to return and a United Ireland is closer than ever.
