That’s the first successful two-point conversion of Ryan Day’s head coaching career.

These teams love to show some fight when it literally does not matter at all.

It’s really a shame that the Julian Sayin injury ruined what could have been a very special season for Ohio State. Oh well. Try again next year. And the good news is they don’t even need to make any major changes since that’s the only reason they’re losing these games.

Imagine making Steve Sarkisian, Lincoln Riley and Dan Lanning look like elite coaches in the same season...

Can’t wait for this 8 minute drive that ends in a 28-yard field goal

It’s really shocking to me that Ohio State is largely playing well on both sides of the ball but is losing on all the high leverage plays and in the margins. That never happens.

A lot of people don’t know the lore here. The chant was “O-H-I-O rip his fucking head off!” Ohio State obviously didn’t love this. So my freshman year, they made a push to make it “O-H-I-O take his shoes!” It then became “O-H-I-O rip his fucking head off, and take his shoes!”
Why did the entire Ohio State student section take its shoes off? Disgusting.

The athletic department really tried to sell it to Block O/the students. Like “Hey, it’s fun! You can take your shoes off and wave them!” The students agreed! Just… not how they wanted them to lol

Wow, I wonder if this is the kind of dynamic talent that could help an offense like Ohio State. Have to imagine he’s a major portal target for the Buckeyes
Jelani Thurman just caught his team-leading 7th TD of the season. He has been exceptional for #UNC this year.

Julian Sayin is officially listed as OUT on Ohio State's availability report ahead of Saturday's game against Oregon.

I told him he would never be our governor in Aug. 2024 after a famous date at a chicken shack of Olentangy Road. He had me sweating for a bit. I won’t lie about that part. But in the end… he was who we thought he was!!!!!!!
Tough to overstate the role that The Rooster’s reporting played in Ohio’s election cycle the last two years. Only furthers my theory that there is no better training ground for modern media than the Ohio State football beat.

Lmao I did not even notice this
Here is a run down of all the of the cadences Ohio State QB Luke Fahey used vs USC •Began the game with a normal verbal cadence •Changed to a Clap cadence at the end of the 1st quarter •Changed to Silent cadence on 3rd & Goal in the 2nd quarter •Changed back to Clap cadence to start the 3rd quarter •Changed back to Silent cadence at the beginning of the 4th quarter •Changed back to normal verbal cadence towards the end of the 4th quarter And what is mind boggling to me, is that some of these changes occurred inbetween downs, not even inbetween drives. I mean truly what the hell is going on???

We got your back, New York!
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Several figures here aren’t federal results or NY-specific. The $472B combines US wide pledges: Micron's $250B is nationwide (NY site $100B) Anthropic's $50B covers TX and NY. The 48% murder drop is from NY's state run GIVE program (28 departments, Jan – May 2026). arkolith.com/news/news-micr… therepublic.com/?p=843020 governor.ny.gov/news/safer-str…

I can independently confirm that’s the email that he’s had since at least college, as well as one he still maintains and is tied to his current Twitter account.

Of the many sins of Ryan Day, being dog shit at special teams year after year, and being smugly dismissive about it when asked, is probably at the top of the list

The reality on Ryan Day and Ohio State at this point is that it feels like they aren't maximizing the immense resources the program has because of how conservatively they decide to play. They might have enough resources to just win anyway, but it feels like they coach scared.
