Back in 2023, I wrote about consumable NFTs.
With advances in AI, consumable software is now here.
I built @dosesdotfun to test these ideas.
Give it a try doses.fun/?v=2

Were the past 50 years just a way for us to create enough data to train AI?

What’s your coding agent about to do with that API key?
We built Doorman to catch exposed secrets, suspicious instructions, and risky actions before they happen.

Tokenmaxxing is the modern equivalent of automobile racing.
Did people need to go 103mph in 1906?
No.
But, it created knowledge that trickled down into everyday automobiles, improving capabilities and reliability for everyone.

I can't find a way to use my genome.
I’m the most intense longevity athlete in the world and haven’t used my genome for a single thing.

Still, nothing.
What am I missing?

Cities streets are dominated by foreign automakers.
The further you get away from cities, the more domestic it becomes.
Robotaxi will directly effect Toyota and Hyundai before it will effect Chevy and Ford.
Domestic automakers lost the cities a long time ago.
The more interesting question is how does the suburban middle ground play out?
Replying to @SawyerMerritt
They probably will.
But will be caught with pants down again as sales in cities stall due to Waymo and Robotaxi.
The consumer will change faster than they are expecting. Saw it in Austin this weekend.
NFTs + IPFS always felt like a solution here.
The fridge (with a wallet) would only accept NFT commands from the central white-listed wallet and the commands would be embedded as a verifiable IPFS CID in the NFT.
This prevents external hacking at the device level.
As long as the central wallet isn't compromised, you can guarantee the end device is operating as intended.
About a decade ago, @soumyab8 and I built a system to prevent precisely these kinds of attacks. The core idea was that commands issued to actuators (eg fridges) would have to furnish a safety proof that they fulfill the user's desired policy, thus preventing an attacker from wreaking havoc even if they have compromised a centralized controller.
The reviewers back in the day thought it was too far fetched. Hah.
