Recently, for my Ringside Politics radio show on @wgso990am in New Orleans, I sat down for a long interview with the Democratic Party's Louisiana U.S. Senate nominee, Jamie Davis. We discussed a variety of issues, including the controversial subject of trans athletes. Here is a clip from our interview. I have invited the Republican Party's Louisiana U.S. Senate nominee, @jbletlow, multiple times, but I have not received a response. Hopefully, she will join me for an in-studio interview as well before the campaign concludes on November 3

It’s hard to rationalize complaints about the budget or threats to raise taxes when you see how much money gets pumped into New Orleans. The State gave nonprofits in Orleans Parish $837.5 million from 2022-2025. That’s double what the next 9 parishes got combined in line items for nonprofits. Here are 2 examples: New Orleans and Company: a Nonprofit Mission statement: "to inspire, promote, and encourage travel to our city" Got $81.9M from the State from 2022-25 Gets 25% of the City's short term rental tax Has $99.6M in net assets as of 2024 Pays CEO Walt Leger $821K a year Greater New Orleans, Inc.: a Nonprofit Mission statement: "to create a region with a thriving economy and an excellent quality of life" Got $12.3M from the State from 2022-25 Got $9.35M from the State in 2025 alone Pays CEO Michael Hecht $897K a year app.lla.state.la.us/publicre…

Watch JP Coussan of the LPSC explain how it actually works: Entergy writes the policy, provides the lawyers, the experts, the arguments. The PSC approves it. Your bill goes up. This is regulatory capture and nobody's even pretending to hide it anymore. In this election cycle, the Republican candidate is being funded by the utilities to the tune of $175,000. To expect her to turn around and regulate them is naive at best. Your bill is up 50% since 2020. This is why. The question on November 3 isn't Republican or Democrat. It's whether you're voting for who the utilities want, or voting for someone who knows the game, understands how to fix it, and has the integrity and savvy to get it done. Vote on Nov. 3rd like your utility bill depends on it. Vote Chris Justin, LPSC, District 1

Yes, Kentucky outcoached & outplayed our Tigers, but this is so bad...it's got the stench of the Stankey Sankey all over it. -giving Stein a TO after KU false start -a BS PI flag on Woodland -myriad of holds on Princewill never called -but the worst is the SankeyPush TD...Minchey crowdsurfed in...could've taken a nap...however, LSU defenders must play to the damn whistle and finish that play. Whit Weeks' grit was needed there.
