Massive Congratulations to Cllr Adam Keenan, a London Young Liberal who now sits in the Shadow Cabinet in Ealing! We wish him all the best in this role, and know he will prove to be a very effective shadow cabinet member!
All across London, Young Liberal candidates are working to win their seats in the upcoming local elections. With your help, young people can have a seat at the table and Young Liberals can be elected across London.

5 MPs and already a divided party. Without a whip, how can greens ever govern anywhere when they can’t even agree with themselves.
“I wouldn’t have said that, that’s not my view. I am however deeply concerned about the actions of Donald Trump"
On #PoliticsLive Green Party MP Ellie Chowns distances herself from comments about the US president made by her party leader Zack Polanski

London Young Liberals are out in Colliers Wood today helping YL candidate George Hadjiyiannakis.
The @MertonLibDems are very close to taking control of Merton Council from Keir Starmer’s Labour. Only 18 days to go!

Great reception in Lee Green today!
Some residents were concerned when they thought we were Labour campaigners, but once we told them it was their local Lib Dem team, their mood changed entirely.
On May 7, only the Lib Dems can beat Starmer’s Labour in Lee Green.
And there is hope that we may yet be able to afford to buy a shoebox
London is expected to record the largest drop in house prices in the UK in the near term, say’s RICS bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
We are concerned to hear Labour is risking mental health services for young people to score political goals as they try to save their skin ahead of the election.
Either you believe in full funding for children services or you don’t.
Great pair of 🔶Action Days🔶 with both @EalingLibDems and @EnfieldLibDems this weekend! Great to get out on the doorstep and take the fight to both Labour and the Tories!

As more London councils become competitive, it is sickening that the response to it is more NIMBYsm.
Swathes of people are turning away from Labour & Tories because their lives are getting worse - for many, in significant part to the housing crisis.
Less housing not the answer.
Development of 18 new council houses on Morton Road in Islington blocked over NIMBY concerns including that the new flats would block the view of fireworks from some other flats. Over 16,000 people on the social housing waiting list in Islington. @IslingtonLabour caved.
In London one of the main problems are that late night licensing is controlled by local councils with no incentive to think city, let alone generationally or economy wide. Licensing should be in the hands of the Mayor to zone.

Replying to @MertonLabour
And yet here is confirmation that it is closing to the public at the end of this month 🫢

The Conservatives continue to show everyone that they can't function as the opposition, reaching a new low with their numbers running off to the fresh new right-wing trend
The @LibDems are the only true opposition that can stay united, and hold this Labour government to account!
Great turnout at the London Youth Liberals @IslingtonLibDem action day for @RebeccaJones_03 in St Mary's and St James'! Was great to be there and went out for a fun social afterwards! Also a big thanks to @HinaBokhariLD for attending, alongside @kcllibdems for a strong showing!

Labour, like the Conservatives, have given up in London.
From cuts to local policing and council funding to dither and delay on the Bakerloo extension and housing.
Only the Liberal Democrats are speaking up for London.
As per @PronouncedAlva - I’ve had it confirmed to me that Rachel Reeves told Sadiq Khan to ‘get out of her office’ and she cut their scheduled meeting with him short after he tried to negotiate more funding for London in May
Labour are good, but could they do it on a cold, windy night in Ealing? No they can't, but we can!
Big thanks to @EalingLD for helping to organise such a great action day for Will, great turnout for our great candidate in Walpole!
