A Texas father who had lived in the U.S. for 25 years with no criminal record was finishing his night shift as an Uber driver when immigration agents detained him.
Without being able to speak to his lawyer or a judge, he was put on a plane and sent first to Ghana, a country where he had no ties. He was then sent to his home country, despite a determination by a U.S. immigration court judge that he could not be deported there due to likely persecution. cbsn.ws/3Ude66r

You cannot charge someone for obstruction for refusing to talk to you. "Being suspicious" is not a crime. Just because you "got a call" does not obligate anyone to ID themselves or answer any of your questions. If you suspect someone of committing a crime, then arrest them, but they STILL don't have to talk to you.

José Reyes—a U.S. citizen born in Joliet, Illinois—says that ICE agents mistook him for another man.
Beat him in front of his pregnant wife and 1-year-old daughter.
"They told me I looked like an illegal person, to get out of the truck, and I told them, ‘But how are you going to say that? You don't even know me. I am a citizen; I am telling you that I am from here."
José Reyes said in an interview with Noticias Telemundo.
"It doesn't look very good, but they were hitting me. They kneed me in the ribs. The one above elbowed me straight on the head, next to the ear. I bounced on the floor and kind of lost consciousness."
According to Reyes, he had just dropped his children off at school and was driving his truck through Donna, Texas, with his pregnant wife and 1-year-old daughter because they were going to buy items for the unborn baby.
When several vehicles surrounded him, and an agent ordered him to get out of his truck without initially explaining why he was being detained.
