Today's outrage makes it sound like this has never happened before. Similar attacks have been reported since 2019. Now, a group previously accused of violence in this area (OLA) is reportedly part of the seven party Tsimdo coalition. Isn't that worth investigation? You don't need to be a rocket scientist. Just connect the dot, not the WI-FI! ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿš€ Justice for the innocent! ๐Ÿ’” ๐Ÿ™

I respect everyone's ethnic identity. But I don't support politics that focus only a few ethnic groups. The country is home to diverse communities, not just the Amhara, Oromo, and Tigray. Every community deserves equal recognition, representation, and opportunity. You all should work for the country where every people feel valued, included, and heard.

We have heard heartbreaking reports of Orthodox Christians being killed and their churches burned. @AbiyAhmedAli Your primary responsibility is to protect all citizens from violence and unlawful acts, regardless of their ethnicity or faith. Shimeles Abdisa has led the Oromia region since 2019. He must be held accountable for his administration's response to the repeated killings and attacks against innocent civilians. No one should lose their life because of who they are or what they believe.

I disagree with him with so many political issues (backhome), but I believe in freedom of speech. He is the voice of his community, and his right to express his views deserves respect, even when we disagree. I am concerned that the political differences may have played a role in his account being suspended. We don't have to agree with defending someone to defend their right to speak. Please review his suspension fairly and reinstate the @habtishgreat account. @x @Support

Please don't claim that all members of the diaspora support the coalition. I personally don't support the coalition or any group. Everyone has a right to their own opinion, please speak for yourselves, not on behalf of the entire diaspora.
Ethiopian American diaspora civic organizations representing every part of Ethiopia (Amhara, Oromo, Tigray, Somali and Southern peoples) have spoken with one voice. In a joint letter to @SecRubio, they write in support of the Ethiopian Peoples' Forces Alliance for Survival and reaffirm its commitment to Ethiopia's unity and sovereignty, grounded in justice, mutual respect, equality and the democratic consent of its people. They further support its call for an inclusive political transition, a national constitutional dialogue, justice and accountability, and respect for the will of the people as the path to resolving Ethiopia's conflicts. They urge continued U.S. engagement to advance these principles and help create the conditions for a just and lasting peacein Ethiopia. Ethiopians from every region now stand united behind this vision. Only the Abiy regime stands against it. #Ethiopia #AllianceForSurvival @WhiteHouse @SecRubio @USEmbassyAddis @HouseForeign @SenateForeign @US_SrAdvisorAF @ymahmoudali @EUinEthiopia @AsstSecStateAF @EUSR_Weber @OlofBSkoog @PILPG @UNDPPA @EroComfort @DicarloRosemary @RepJohnJames @housegop, @Repsarajacobs @YoungKimCA @RepJimBaird, @CongressmanKean, @RepMillsPress, @RepGaramendi, @StateDept @michaelgwaltz @AJEnglish @BBCWorld @Reuters @amnesty @hrw

So you blocked me? @TyetuMenelik I will take that as a badge of honner! ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐ŸŽ– Sitting on space 24/7 taking trash against your own country and expecting everyone to agree with you is not my thing. I stand by what I believe is right. I don't need your permission to disagree with you or call out what I see as betrayal. Blocking me doesn't change my principles, and your approval has never been my goal. Anyways, good luck! Keep your block button handy. It seems to be working harder than your arguments! ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ‘‹

Repeat a lie often enough, and it becomes a truth. Looks like the opposition coalition has taken this old law of propaganda as its political strategy. ๐Ÿ˜‚ @grok does repetition make something true or just familiar?

I hope someone in the US government read this! ๐Ÿ‘‡
The mighty United States, which has been spending hundreds of billions of dollars annually for decades on its military, invaded both Afghanistan and Iraq with relative ease, deploying the most advanced weaponry humankind could develop, accompanied by hundreds of thousands of military personnel on the ground. After 20 years of unrelenting violence, killings, destabilisation, and utter misery, the US literally ran out of #Afghanistan with its tails between its legs, handing power back to the very Taliban we had been told possessed little more than Stone Age rifles, alongside a Stone Age ideology and political outlook. Anyone who fails to learn a lesson from that does not understand why Trump came to power in the first place. Now, let us turn to Abiy Ahmed, who governs a country that is just one bad season away from starvation and a humanitarian crisis. His government is addicted to debt and aid like a junkie is addicted to the next hit. The political landscape is so fractured and polarised that a single incident could easily trigger the country's balkanisation. The national military is engaged in armed conflict with every major ethnic group in a country comprising 89 ethnic groups. The government relies almost entirely on one small country, the UAE, for its very survival, and so on and so forth. Without me saying anything more, the conclusion writes itself. Abiy is dreaming of launching a full-scale invasion of #Eritrea and occupying either the entirety of its sovereign territory or parts of it. Yes, of course, people will die, and there will be immense suffering and misery. Nobody can deny that. But one thing is certain: Abiy will never succeed in occupying Eritrea's coastal territory. Not even an inch. What is far less certain, however, is the continued existence of #Ethiopia as a nation-state. Some PP activists are intoxicating their narrow ethnic base with the slogan: โ€œIT IS NOW OR NEVER!โ€ And the opportunity they see in this moment is the creation of an independent Oromia, with access to a seaport from which to project power for centuries to come. I know this may sound far-fetched simply to say it. But let us watch what they do, not what they say. Who is going to save #Ethiopia from self-combustion? Is it too late?

Looks like the opposition coalition finally found its voice!๐Ÿ˜‚ Defeted, but apparently never out of service! Now, they are responding to the African Union and the US State Department.๐Ÿ˜‚ Lol I hope the State Department looks into any US based individuals who may be providing unlawful support to violence connected to this movement. Politics never runs out of surprise. ๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ˜‚

A 143-year-old French landmark is destroyed after rioters set it ablaze, causing its roof to collapse into the floors below. Local officials say two-thirds of the Limoges Town Hall is gone as violent anti-government agitators torched the building's exterior, in what the officials called a "catastrophe for heritage." The violence comes as more than half a million demonstrators took to the streets nationwide, over the soaring cost of living enter their fourth week across France. Authorities have reported roughly 400 arrests. And the unrest is spreading beyond Limoges. See which other government buildings rioters targeted: foxnews.com/world/limoges-toโ€ฆ

Kenya has confirmed four new cases of the Ebola Bundibugyo virus, bringing the total to seven. Health officials said three of the infected are health workers who treated the country's first patient. The fourth is a relative of that patient.
