Woman shows up at our pop up today. Asks if we can vaccinate her bedbound father who lives nearby. Dr Truong and Dr Ou-Hingwan, amazing family physicians took a vaccine and went to his apartment. Vaccinated an elderly man on home oxygen. These our our heroes. @SHNcares 1/

Come and get your signed copy of the Casino Shift at Indigo Bay Bloor. TY to Dani and Luke for coralling the books!
Tuition, residence, food and books cost $25-30000/year/student. Not sure how @fordnation thinks a family making “200 grand” per year before taxes can afford that in addition to mortgage/rent, bills, food and other children. 1/
NEW: Premier Doug Ford says he was receiving “massive pressure” from the post secondary sector to lift the tuition freeze.
On OSAP: Ford says to students “you have to invest in your future.”
Ford says students are “probably upset” right now and claims that some were using OSAP loans to buy “fancy watches and Cologne and not needing and families making 200 grand, getting their kids” OSAP.

These are actually the students that get the most stuck. Can’t access financial aid through schools as their parents earn “too much”, but parents can’t afford the added 25-30 K per year. And programs such as engineering and business programs cost even more. 2/
If you live in Ontario and are lucky enough to have a family doctor, please ask him/her to vote for Dr Hal Berman in the upcoming election! That’s what I am doing . Thanks!

Thinking of the families and everyone who responded to the GSW MCI in BC. MCI’s can happen anywhere including rural Canada. Emergency departments across Canada plan for these rare events. When they happen it’s horrible and tragic for family and the care providers. #moralinjury

I have worked with @NightShiftMD on many shifts. He is a spectacular physician and colleague. Doing night shifts and has a smile on his face in the morning. Advocating for his patients and telling Canadians stories from the frontline. He is the real deal ❤️
It's dismaying how often I get tagged as a "typical" MD who doesn't care about patients. I've told countless stories from the patient point of view. Like this week's show of a 24 yo man whose stroke symptoms were dismissed by an ER MD. podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcas…
