I don’t know if those who are categorical that there can be no miracles in elections are following the happenings in Serbia and Brazil. Im super encouraged for 2027 because we in Kenya pray to the same God. Inshallah we get ours too.

According to Kenya Forest Service, all the trees in public forests in Kenya coincidentally matured simultaneously. As such, all public forests must be shaved clean.Miti tutakata, kwani mtado? In any case, who needs trees, when we can just request Mama Rachel to pray for rain😌.
Kenya is run by mad men.
In 2018 logging had been banned in because forests were being depleted at the rate of about 5,000 hectares per annum. This led to an estimated annual reduction in water availability of 62 million cubic metres.
But now @KIPPRAKENYA reports that “because the government lifted the ban on logging in Oct 2023 in commercial forests to allow “harvest of mature trees” the @KeForestService (KFS) produced a set of rules that will “guide” the harvesting of 5,000 hectares of commercial forests per annum of the 150,000 hectares of gazetted public forest”
So how do you @KeForestService decide to harvest at the same rate that saw Kenya losing 62Million cubic metres of water annually? Have you lost your minds? If losing 5,000 hectares a year was a crisis in 2018, why is cutting 5,000 hectares a year acceptable now?
Also who got the tender? I want to see something.

Hello @KeForestService...this is the message you are supposed to be pushing

They've cut trees so much Kenya is heading into a draught. Soon, half the country won't afford food, then the same people who cut trees will import low quality food.
Lydia Matata retweeted
They are harvesting trees that are over 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80 90 years old and not planting new ones.
And even if they plant tree seedlings now, the damage is already done.
The forest cover will be reinstated after 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80 90 years
NO SHORT CUT

CLARIFICATION ON FOREST PLANTATION HARVESTING IN NGONG HILLS FOREST
The Kenya Forest Service (KFS) has noted video clips and photographs circulating on social media alleging illegal logging in Ngong Hills Forest, with claims that the activities are being carried out at night. The Service wishes to clarify the circumstances surrounding the ongoing forest plantation harvesting operations.
Harvesting of mature forest plantations in the Kibiku Forest Block of Ngong Hills Forest is being undertaken following a competitive bidding process and the subsequent award of a tender for the harvesting of 56 hectares of mature plantations, in accordance with the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act 2015, the Forest Conservation and Management Act 2026 (FCMA 2026), the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and forest harvesting rules (2016).
Furthermore, forest operations are required to be conducted between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., as stipulated under the FCMA 2026. Upon completion of the harvesting process, the Community Forest Association is normally engaged to replant more trees through the Plantation Enterprise and Livelihood Improvement Scheme (PELIS).
Regarding the photograph circulating on social media showing a trailer loaded with logs, the Service has received information that the vehicle had broken down and was undergoing repairs. KFS is verifying the circumstances surrounding the incident. The photograph alone does not establish that harvesting activities were taking place at night.
The Service urges members of the public to seek clarification from the nearest KFS station on any concerns regarding forest management and harvesting activities.
KFS urges the public to rely on verified information when commenting on the matter and to report all suspicious activities to the nearest police station for investigations or email [email protected]

Let us assume Kenya Forest Service is right (for a minute)
They have "harvested" 56 hectares (138 Acres) of trees in Ngong Forest
Trees that took between 30 to 40 years to mature
How many hectares / acres of trees did they plant?
How many years will it take again?

A government tender does not make environmental destruction constitutional.
KFS says 56 hectares of Ngong Hills Forest are being harvested. Where is the environmental assessment? The management plan? The evidence that wildlife, water systems and biodiversity won't suffer?

Suddenly, forests across the country (Ngong Hills, Karura, Thogoto, Aberdares, etc) have all matured at the same time. What a coincidence.

Replying to @WilliamsRuto
@WilliamsRuto I was diagnosed with cancer soon after you were declared president. I have always wondered whether there is a link. Before I die, I want to know, how much money and land do you need, and how much suffering do you want to inflict on Kenyans before you die?

How the fuck is this justifiable? How can you clear a whole forest?

The government has a public trust deficit of its own doing and it's not limited to health. The government has lied about everything possible so we can't possibly be surprised that conspiracy theories find fertile minds because GOK is actively working against its citizens.
