To make history, you have to honor it. We've been working on this film since November, and after first screening it at a private event last month, I’m proud to share it more broadly today. It’s a look back at the people, partnerships, and defining moments that shaped Kleiner Perkins, and the principles that still guide how we back founders today.

Two people I admire talking about what matters most in AI: how it makes people feel, not just what it can do. Worth the watch. @ariannahuff @DanielaAmodei
Right now, 75% of Americans are anxious and afraid about AI. People are even bringing their concerns into their therapy sessions, sorting through everything from how AI impacts their jobs to more existential fears about humanity’s future. These concerns are real. But they’re only part of the story. To go deeper, I sat down with @DanielaAmodei. As president of @AnthropicAI, she is a unique figure in AI.

Our most ambitious film to date! 3 locations, 10 interviews, and 166 minutes of sound to sort through and organize into a ~3 min script. Check out our latest video about the team building Rippling AI ⬇️
Everyone's building AI agents. Almost nobody's solved the part where the agent knows what it's not allowed to see. @Rippling has. We spent the day at both their San Francisco and New York offices with @parkerconrad, @stanine, @fullung, Adam Swiecicki, and the team building Rippling AI as part of our  "History in the Making" film series.

I love to see Upstarts right up there alongside TBPN in demand to cover startup launches (see below 👀). I also am very upfront with founders about when 'Trad Media' could still be a better home for their exclusive news, and when we have a real right to win. Are you optimizing for an in-depth story that explains who you are to potential hires and the community, or do you really need the Tier 1 headline + photo combo to screenshot and post on social media? Maybe that validation with investors and Big Co buyers matters more In the moment. At some point, most startups will want both. When a founder asks if they should pursue press coverage at all, I always start by asking what end outcome they hope to achieve. New Media like Upstarts can increasingly check some of those boxes, but we're all better off when both cohorts flourish.
New media is insider media, and the traditional press that founders/investors still care about is prestige media like the WSJ and NYT - “look mom, I made it”

Congrats to @thejamescad and @dbabbs. @profound has radically changed how I approach my job and think about the future of marketing.
Excited to announce that @profound has raised a $180M Series D led by @sequoia and @kleinerperkins. AI was quick to transform verifiable domains like software engineering. It is now doing the same across every vertical. Profound is diffusing AI into the marketing org at the enterprise level. This opportunity, to redefine one of the world's largest and most interesting industries, is once in a lifetime. We will not waste it.

Incredible focus and relentless execution. It’s still early. Congratulations @gabepereyra @winstonweinberg and entire @harvey team!
We’ve raised $550M at a $15.5B valuation, led by @DiffusionVC and @LightSpeedVP. We’ve crossed $400M in ARR and serve 3,000 customers, including 80% of the top 100 law firms, 20% of the Fortune 500, and half of the Fortune 10. We are investing the capital from this round into our two most important resources: people and compute. Our product is expanding into new verticals and more specialized solutions for areas like contracting, litigation, deals, and compliance. As usage grows, we’re investing heavily in inference and model training to deliver frontier legal intelligence at the best possible price. Building on Tenet, our first model post-trained on open-weight models, this round will let us scale the compute and data behind future generations of our models. We believe the most successful application-layer companies will become full-stack AI companies, building across applications, agents, and models. Becoming a full-stack AI company will help our customers own more of their intelligence and build their vision of a frontier legal organization. We’re also grateful to @Sequoia, @KleinerPerkins , @A16Z , @CoatueMgmt, @Conviction, @EladGil, Evantic, GIC, @GoldmanSachs, Sapphire Ventures and Whale Rock for participating in the round and backing that vision.

It all starts with a single hair. From that hair, Feanix sequences an animal’s whole genome for just a few dollars, then combines it with real-world farm data like health, feed, production, weather, and economics. What used to be a costly, luxury diagnostic can now become the foundation for how a farm operates. With Autopilot, Feanix puts farms on autopilot, turning all that data into decisions about which animals to breed, treat, move, or sell. Better decisions for each animal = better outcomes across the farm. feanixbio.com

I’m Noah, the founder of Instinct. Instinct is a personal agent that we’ve been building for the past few months. The interface is simple: there are no new interfaces. You can text or call it. It's trained to use a phone and a computer in the same way that humans do. Instinct combines simplicity with extreme capability. I’m thrilled with everything our early users are doing with Instinct. They’ve told us they’ve planned cross-country road trips, bought weekly groceries and concert tickets, and cancelled hundreds of dollars of subscriptions. Someone’s even planning their wedding with Instinct. We want to make Instinct the best personal agent for all of you. It’s available in an invite-only beta program while we’re actively bringing up more compute. I’m excited to see what you all do with it. instinct.co

“Agents will use the web a lot more than humans ever have. No system is designed for it, from infrastructure perspective.” That's the idea that led former Twitter CEO @paraga to start @p0. He explains why the next generation of AI depends on keeping the web open and how Parallel counts products like Harvey, Profound and Rogo among its customers. Catch his full conversation with @Joubinmir and @mamoonha. Link in the replies.

This is who runs this account: A kid who grew up with lupus and didn't know anyone else her age who had it. When friends invited me to the beach or pool parties, I usually simplified it by saying, "I'm allergic to the sun." What I really wanted was a way for other children to understand what living with a chronic illness felt like and what friendship could look like in those moments. Almost four years ago, I started writing the children's book I wished had existed when I was a kid. Today, A Beach Day with Peggy: Understanding Lupus is officially available. The story is inspired by my childhood, my lupus diagnosis at age five, and the friends who made sure I still had a joyful, ordinary childhood. The characters are based on real people who remain some of my closest friends today. My hope is that one day a child living with lupus or another autoimmune disease finds this book and feels a little less alone. I’m grateful to the UCSF rheumatology community and the many researchers, clinicians, and patients working to better understand lupus. The California Lupus Epidemiology Study (CLUES), led by @UCSF, has been an important effort to study the genetic, environmental, and daily life impacts of lupus over time. Thank you to the CLUES team for including me, and spotlighting my book. And thank you to the many family and friends who has helped bring Peggy to life. This book started with pencil and paper, countless revisions, and a childhood dream that took nearly three decades to become real. Order your copy here: peggythepanda.com/

🚨 New Investment 🚨 Excited to announce @kleinerperkins is leading TerraFirma’s Series A. In 1931, we built the Empire State Building in 13 months. Today, a comparable skyscraper takes 6-7 years. Construction is one of the only major industries where productivity has actually fallen every year for the past 60 years. And it’s about to get worse: 40% of construction workers are set to retire in the next decade - just as American reindustrialization demands the biggest infrastructure build-out in generations. TerraFirma’s answer: bring autonomy to construction. The company has developed a hardware+software platform that can retrofit excavators, dozers, and loaders into autonomous machines, orchestrated by AI agents and a remote command center where one human operator can run 3-4 machines at once. Projects move ~3x faster and at significantly lower cost. And this isn’t a demo. They’re already in the field today helping to build substations, data centers, roads, schools, and more. TerraFirma’s co-founders Noah Schochet and Noah McGuinness met at Princeton and subsequently worked together at SpaceX, helping to build Starlink, Starshield, and Starship. Now they’re applying that playbook to how we build on Earth - and eventually, Mars. Let’s go! 🌍->🚀
Today, we’re announcing that we’ve raised $115 million in funding, including a $100M Series A led by @kleinerperkins. America has lost the ability to build, and we’re here to restore it. My co-founder, @NoahMcGuinn, and I left our jobs at @SpaceX , where we worked on programs including Starship, Starshield, and @Starlink, to build a company that will solve construction’s greatest challenges. Infrastructure is the foundation of civilization, and construction is the precursor to innovation. If America wants to build a brighter future for the next generation, we have to make it faster, cheaper, and safer to build. That’s where @TerraFirma_Inc comes in. We’re a new type of company, a robotic construction company that builds the full technology stack needed to deliver an order-of-magnitude improvement in one of the world’s oldest, largest, most important, but least efficient industries. We are building technology that expands what’s possible in construction on Earth, and then we'll use that same technology to build megastructures and colonies on the Moon and Mars. We’ve made tremendous progress over the past year, growing the company more than 10x in the last 12 months. We are performing projects across the world. By the end of October 2026, we are on track to operate 3 of the top 3 largest robotic construction fleets in the world, each on a different continent, bringing unprecedented speed, scale, and efficiency to some of the world’s most complex critical infrastructure projects. This funding will allow us to step on the gas and scale our manufacturing, software, operations, and construction deployments, including work on massive commercial and government contracts. We’re building the future of construction right here in Austin, Texas, and scaling it globally. If you want to be part of the team changing the world, now and on Mars, join us. Our Series A was led by Kleiner Perkins, with participation from Bain Capital Ventures, Glade Brook Capital Partners, BANNER VC, Saga Ventures, Trust Ventures, Definition, PEAK6, Magnetar Capital, and Ravelin Capital. Huge thanks to all of our angel investors, friends, and family who have helped and supported us throughout this journey. Apply here: jobs.ashbyhq.com/TerraFirma-…
