@liberal_party @MarkJCarney @CanadianPM @gilmcgowan @nenshi @MargTokar Nation Building should benefit Canadians first. We don’t need the exported oil. That can come later, if ever. It shouldn’t be funded by public money. If industry can’t justify the investment—why would we?
I’ve been doing some rough comparative math that I’ll share soon. Put $50 billion into one major pipeline and you may create thousands of construction jobs, but relatively few permanent operating jobs. Put the same capital over four years into hospitals, long-term care, schools, housing and neglected infrastructure in Alberta and B.C., and the preliminary numbers suggest tens of thousands of permanent jobs—while building things Canadians already desperately need.
That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t eventually build another pipeline. It means we should reconsider what we call “nation-building.” Moving more Canadian resources to customers in other countries has economic value, but so does strengthening Canadian communities, relieving hospital bed-block, caring for seniors and building the workforce we will need for tomorrow’s major projects. It comes back to an order of business: meet the needs we already have, build our capacity, and then build bigger.
Not every day needs to be about achieving something extraordinary. Sometimes the greatest accomplishment is simply enjoying the day, appreciating what we have, and remembering to smile along the way. @liberal_party

A government who attempts to control the minds of our future leaders makes a grievous error in judgment. Then again the Premier and UCP’s judgement needs questioning—-anybody dumb enough to hitch our wagon to Trump and associates needs their heads examined. @ABDanielleSmith

Pierre Poilievre never said one positive word in all his rambling hatred and lies about $ 25 million in the budget to assist the victims in Wainwright, his actual riding.
Tells you everything you need to know about Pierre, he cares about himself, only himself.

This is a ridiculous take from Danielle Smith. She chose to appease Trump instead of standing up to him. In other words, she literally did the exact opposite of what American voters just did at the polls. How on earth is this “vindication” for her approach?

My take on the UCP’s plan to steal the next election by gerrymandering electoral boundaries: “This is a red line that we can’t allow the UCP to cross. We must be prepared to fight against the dangerous Americanization of our electoral system.”

Governor @GregAbbott_TX met with Canadian Opposition Leader Pierre Poilievre today at the Governor's Mansion.
The Governor and the Opposition Leader spoke about boosting trade ties, especially in regard to Canada and Texas' booming energy industries.
Robin has emerged from some time of reflection and the book will be interesting.

Is this the beginning of the end to populist politics? Has the USA finally seen and had enough of Trump?

Life presents us with choices every day, and the easiest road is rarely the one that leads to the greatest personal growth. Whether in business, relationships, or leadership, the temptation to take shortcuts, seek immediate rewards, or avoid difficult decisions can be powerful. But character, wisdom, and lasting success are built through patience, discipline, and the willingness to do what is right rather than what is convenient.
The direction we choose today doesn't just determine where we end up tomorrow. It determines who we become along the way. @liberal_party #leadership
