Following a deadly mass shooting last night in Lavender Hill, my heart broke to stand with mothers who had to pick up pieces of the brains of their children. Where is the dignity? The humanity? The accountability? We cannot keep asking mothers to be strong while allowing the conditions that break them to continue. These communities need more than condolences. They deserve protection, dignity and action. Why are we killing each other????

I laid a complaint about the water in Makhanda(Grahamstown) in 2019 when we went a week without water. Never even got a reply from the SAHRC. That's when I knew it had turned into a joke.
