I think 2026 will be a tale of 2 halves - chaotic start, calmer end. Political upheaval that will result in better things to come.
We need more of this in politics.

Thank you, Sunita.
For the past two years, Sunita has served Vancouver-Langara as MLA, and she has done it with real heart. I got to know her through my work in the Jewish community, and what began as a working relationship grew into a genuine friendship.
Sunita is one of the warmest, most caring people I know in public life. She works incredibly hard, and she has a rare gift for connecting with people, whoever they are and wherever they come from. I'll never forget her coming straight from Victoria to our CLEAR Alzheimer's dinner to speak to the families we support. It meant a great deal to me.
We ran against each other this fall, but that never changed how I feel about her. Thank you for your service to this community and for your friendship. Vancouver-Langara is better for the work you've done.

The first thing a BC Conservative government should do is take the deal the Feds already offered them, a complete removal of the 5% GST on new housing.

Well that didn't take long. A new government gets elected and the Cowichan lawyer suddenly has a new proposal coming in January that will protect private property rights in the Richmond case. biv.com/news/cowichan-tribes…

Five weeks before the vote, the BC Conservatives were a party at war with itself. Then they won a massive majority. One of the strategists who ran the war room, Dimitri Pantazopoulos, pulls back the curtain on how. #bcpoli #cdnpoli @DPinBC

Worst seasons in NHL history, by points percentage.
#Canucks have 71 games left to get off this list.

Let me get this straight:
The market is pricing in +80% chance Canada is going to raise rates this week?
The same 🇨🇦 Canada that:
- Lost nearly 70,000 jobs last month
- Has inflation below 2%
- Recent GDP puts us at 1.7%
- Has a housing market on its knees
- Is in a trade war with its biggest trading partner
Make it make sense.
Well said

Thank you, #RichmondCentre, for your trust. Whether or not you voted for me, I will work for you.
Congratulations to @HenryYaoRMD, Calvin Dang and Lawrence Chen on your campaigns. Putting your name forward takes courage. It was a respectful race about issues, and I thank you for that.
We may differ on how to get there, but most of us want the same things: safe streets, healthcare that works, strong schools and community centres, and tax dollars spent wisely.
To our volunteers: this win belongs to you.
Now, to work. Be my eyes and ears on the ground, and I will bring your voice to Victoria.

For those who didn’t see it last night. Victory speech by BC Premier-elect @LDoerkson
There’s the saying that a week is a lifetime in politics
5 lifetimes ago, KLF was leader, Eby had a 10 point lead, and the conservatives were a fractured mess
How things have changed
One of the best results last night. Obviously happy for who came first, but absolutely thrilled for who came dead last.

No Canadian politician in memory managed to unite the right as successfully as David Eby did in the past 35 days.
The win would be the first Conservative Party majority in British Columbia in 98 years and swing Canada’s third most populous province to the political right bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
